Taking the 360 apart is a complete breeze, and requires no special tools until you're inside and you need the torx shit inside, and even torx is pretty common! |
Yup.

I found those small holes on the back of the 360 to be a major pain in the ass. Luckily i got a free 360 unlock kit when i ordered my liteon.

A ban also corrupts the gamerprofiles and saves on your harddrive, so they don't work on any other machine than the banned one. This is to prevent you from getting another cheap unit after the ban and just move the harddrive.
You also lose the feature to install games to the harddrive. |
You dont lose feature to install games to the harddrive......it was fixed the update of fall ´09.
E: Play with non-flashed console and account on live....and use your banned console for backup games...I dont have the need with the HDD to run between consoles- why shoud anyone!? |
sorry, what?
i've got my 360 banned in the '09 banwave and the HDD its disabled... im missing something?

Yeah, not sure which update, but later that year they restored the HDD functionality. I had a banned one and then did the update so that the person using it could install some games. Someone else might know the exact update, or have a link, though.

yup, someone sued microsoft because they can't take one of the consoles functions just because you violate their xbox live service rules. they just can ban you (the console) from that service.

They can do with the dashboard whatever they want. You agreed with there rules when you signed up. You also know that if they want they can get any original game back from you? Because you did not buy the game only a licence to play it.
If you don't believe me look it up.

No matter what microshit says, this depends on the country you live in as well. Here in Norway, if you buy something, whatever it may be it`s yours and nobody can tell you otherwise.
Companies like MS can get away with crazy shit in the states, but just try something retarded like that over here, not happening.

Do you think they give a shit if you from Norway or not if they ban you cause you broke the rules they ban you no matter wich country you are.
Personaly I dont get the cry babbies, they know upfront that bans can happen, if you wanna play games online buy them if you wanna download them fine but when you then get banned dont cry.
Thats the reason why I got a offline and a online box.
