1.) Leffe Blonde.
2.) Hoegaarden.
3.) Stone Arrogant Bastard.

Good mix of the best types of beer. There are better wheat beers then Hoegaarden IMO, but Hoegaarden is more wildly distributed and cheaper then the better ones.

Not a big fan of the Delirium Tremens. It is far to sweet for my tastes. Frankly, it tastes like those nasty Ciders. The Delirium Nocturnum is where it's at though.

Hard to pick and choose that much here (toronto) in terms of decent belgium tripels ... especially when it comes on also being on tap at a bar. And sure, the Nocturnum looks awesome but nowhere to get that around here.

keep in mine 'end' in this case is a geographic reference and not a temporal one. still a cool name though Smile

oh, and nobody mentioned Guinness... that is obviously something we can't live without. Newcastle Brown is pretty tasty as well.

this is a pretty tasty lager too:

and for no other reason besides I'm drunk, here is a picture of a wall at that brewery Smile

Around here there are a ton of great American craft breweries. I know USA has a terrible rep for beer (and we should, given the crap most people drink like Bud Light, Coors Light etc) but there really are some fantastic brews that are served at some local taverns. Best stout I've ever had- North Coast Brewery's Old 38 Stout. Creamy head like Guinness but less of that watered down flavor. Guinness is all right for a beer produced for the masses but its pretty crap compared to beers like Old 38.

 Spoiler:

5.5% ABV

It's good out of a bottle too but much better on tap.

As far as lighter beers you can drink during hotter days and not feel too heavy or drunk afterwards, I go for a nice lager like Longboard Island Lager. I'm an ale man but this lager is great.

Tripel Karmeliet, a very well balanced beer, if you can get your hands on it...

To me it has really sweet taste. I like it, but I like the dark ones better...

I should really go to the shop in the city and get one beer from every possible type.

Though I believe I won't find many of the specified beers in this thread, especially the Americans. For some reason American beers are not that popular.

Maybe because shitty bears like Miller's, Bud Light, and the american Pilsner give them a bad name.

I plan to do weekend sampling, ie. buying one of each of 5-6 beers, then grading them in a little book or in Notepad.
