In my opinion; ToV is actually BETTER than the original game. It's longer, more indepth and has a better story - not to mention a conclusive ending.

When will the second DeathSpank game be released for the PC?

I can say that we are working on it but just like the Mac versions, we are not finished so there is no date announcement but everything is going well with these versions so when we are closer to final, we will be able to share that information.

Well, the important thing is that it's definitely coming. I mean, the ending is so cliffhanger-ish that it would be a crime to not have the sequel Razz

i played this for an hour or so. it reminds me of torchlight for some reason. it got too repetitive for me in the time i played it. the enemies keep re-spawning after you cleared an area. Sad

i'll come back to this one later. Smile

DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue hits PC next week

Quote:
EA will release the second DeathSpank game, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, on PC via Steam on November 30.

If you fancy a romp through that, get on Steam now and you can pre-order it for a healthy 10% discount off its standard $14.99 price.

It has also been confirmed that both the first and second DeathSpank games will arrive on Steam for Mac on December 14, both priced at $14.99 a piece. There's no mention of a bundle for either platforms.

Great Smile

Some screens from the Thongs of Virtue edition of the game.
(They're pretty similar so far.)

(Coming out shortly is Super Meat Boy, nice way to end November with these small games, haha.)

So it's unlocked on steam, I take it. Nice, a release from THETA should be out pretty soon. I remember some said that it's better than the first game. How is it for you, JB? Smile

Edit: I was wrong... DeathSpank.Thongs.of.Virtue-SKIDROW Laughing

It's basically a Deathspank: part II

Quote:
According to Ron Gilbert, both parts of DeathSpank were developed at the same time, with his equal involvement in both of them. Originally it was meant to be released as one giant game, but it became too big for one downloadable game, so the developers split it into two.

Exactly. It isn't relevant to my interests though since the unjustified delay already prevented me from supporting their splitted product. Laughing

Whenever I try to start a new game, it crashes to the desktop... (DeathSpank.Thongs.of.Virtue-SKIDROW - Windows 7 x64)

After trying to run the game both in administrator mode, and compatibility mode, I've uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it in the User folder, and that fixed it.

Oh well. Back to the game I guess.
