This one is probably the hardest game I've ever played, I'm not sure I'll finish it. One of these days I could end up throwing my keyboard out of the window, and I don't want it happening

It's pity there is no way to remap keys on keyboard.
z/x, shift/z or even alt/space... everything is better then shift/space, which are way to apart from each other.

Says enough.
I was super excited for it and I have already deleted it. ugh.. I was even planning to support the developers. |
The developers admitted they ran the game on their two PCs only and since they didn't encounter any problems they released it

Quote: | -lowdetail runs fine on a netbook. I have an Asus Aspire One. 1.6Ghz Intel Atom, 1GB Ram, Integrated Intel GMA 950 inside. If I switch on low detail, the game maintains a 50-60fps for most levels. It is very playable with extremely small load times. My computer here, with an NVidia 260, Q6600 Quad Core, 6GB Ram runs the game at like 400FPS Un-VSynced. So that's basically you're range. Those are the two computers I had available during development, so they represent high end and low end. |

How could one guy do a QA and guarantee a bugfree experience? If you buy such a game, you know what to expect. Aleast he's not giving up.

As far as I see it he only had his own computer and this other person (A friend likely.) with his computer to test the game on, not exactly ideal (OS differences, x86 and x64 comparisons and the usual hardware and software differences.) I also assume he only had one X360 but as those are all built alike (Minus the slim model that's a bit different apparently.) there's not much of a issue.
Seems he was honest about it as well and it's one person compared to a full Q&A team, beta tests and such stuff but it might have been beneficial with a demo or something to catch a few of the program errors and those crash issues for example.
(Chapter 1 would work pretty well as a demo, perhaps cut the dark world side and some of the unlockables/extras.)
Will be fixed as well and very quickly at that plus with a 10 - 15$ price tag minus the retail 49 - 59$ it's not too bad though it's unfortunate that the game has some problems due to all this plus the mistakes he did what with missing content and that stuff.
(Though all I've experienced is a crash on exit and the occasional esc key input not taking effect but other commands like P to pause and going to that menu and exiting works just fine.)
(Then again all I have to compare it with is the changelog for say Din's Curse or similar indie titles with launch issues and then it immediately seems like the handful of bugs here is more or less nothing compared to those, haha.)

He doesn't have a girlfriend/wife with a computer?
Parents?
Friends?
It's not like the game is demanding on hardware which would mean that he would need to find powerful computers to test it. Hell, he admits even his netbook can run it.

It's 2 guys working on the game. Not 1.
And don't tell me the guys have 0 family/friends they can get to actually test gamepads beside the shitty 360 one or someone with half a brain that would tell them to add an option to change the controls.
They clearly didn't do too much between the time of the 360 and PC release and expected nobody to care.

A/S also work. Its just that they aren't mentioned anywhere. Dumb, because a/s is tons better than default setting.
I've got some questions on the game.
Is there any award for getting all A+ on dark levels? Or for getting 100% on a world?
Another thing, once I got into weird warp zone in one of those dark worlds. It was the one with moving shredder in first dark world. I didn't even notice it was there. I jumped on bandage girl, and it teleported me into this weird 8bit warp zone with letters reversed. I never finished it because I lost all my lives and when trying to get back to it I couldn't. Is it a one try only thing, or must I do something specific to return to it?

Awesome game. I really do like it. And it's not that hard actually. It's been moderately difficult so far (60+ levels deep into it right now).

Playing THETA here. Zero issues. Their releases are always top-notch.

In first world, if you start to keep dying on some level over and over (any light level will work, as far as I'm aware), bandage girl will bug out. Finish the level with her in that state, and you'll temporary unlock that special "bugged" warp zone.
