Steam is having some technical issues apparently, I guess the patch traffic (Bad Company 2 primarily.) is affecting it severely, it's listed as released but it doesn't seem to take commands to install and verify and such and overall Steam defaults to a offline/no connection state currently.

EDIT: Wasn't entirely correct it seems.

And yes, Steam is down, this is the most ironic thing that ever happened to me. I actually bought this thing and didn't pirate it first and look what happened

We'll have to keep waiting. I've read that maybe it also got delayed to the 1st.

Yeah it seems to have been pushed back then as it still won't function, Thongs of Virtue works though (They had the same release date.) so it might just be a few hours or (As unfortunately often happens.) a new date will appear mysteriously. (That Dungeon Defender game still shows as releasing tomorrow doesn't it whereas it was confirmed some time ago the release date will be Q1 2011 and sites like Gamersgate have updated accordingly.)

Why is the mouse cursor even there? It doesn't do anything.. They don't even tell you what the keys are on a keyboard. Oh well easy enough to figure out but this still reeks of quick buck unless the theta released is messed up.

Apparently they're adding custom controls in a patch.. What the fuck have they been doing since the 360 release?

I think I'm lucky, not even one crash. Playing with a 360 pad and feels good, it's pretty precise. However my fucking fingers hurt, I'm pretty sure it's a blister waiting to happen.

The leaderboards are bugged, also the replay, pretty sloppy port job.

I had to edit the damn dat file to even get it to start since they made the default resolution 1600x1200 and my tv shits a brick on that.

I don't see what all the hype is about this game. I played it for 30 minutes maybe and got bored. I don't see the fun in sitting there trying to find just the right spot in trying to press a button or hold it for just the right amount of time. I know some people dig the hell out of that but for me, meh. Glad I didn't buy it. delete for me Smile

Unleashed release says the SDK is ripped, what software development kit? do they mean a level editor?

Also the game seems to be ripped by Skidrow, Is their a full skidrow release? or maybe Skidrow = Unleashed?

This game is *brutal*. At first, I was doing 1st world levels, plus their speed runs to unlock their dark world versions (they are much tougher them normal levels, so I only solved a very few of them). Then I even started collecting bandages on some of those levels (which does increase their difficulty further). But the closer I get to end of 1st world, the more difficult was to actually finish level, so speed runs or bandage collection got out of the question. It took quite some time to get last few levels in world 1 (not necessary, since game allows completing world with just 17/20 levels).

But then, when second world came, things got very very difficult... I can't image what 3-6 worlds look like. I had patience to finish VVVVVV, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle this, to the end.


P.S.
I succeed in unlocking one of the alternate charters too. On some levels you can enter into dark dimension, with it's own retro mini-game (with limited number of lives, in some cases). And, if you finish it, you unlock new character. Bandages also seem to be used for buying characters.


P.P.S.
Games does crash a lot. Most on exit, alt-tab or changing options. Rarely during gameplay.
