I wanted to reassure you we're still here and listening, and working on a patch. As always, I don't like to give ETA's because through the 'telephone game', that turns into expected deadlines that may not be hit due to the complexities of game development.
That said, I will be providing a thorough update to the "PC Community Update" sticky atop this forum later this week (hopefully tomorrow). It will be an update to the "IN PROGRESS" list of fixes, which will include a very large number of the "LIVE FIXES" from the respective console Stickies you may have seen. Many of the items on that list don't apply to the PC version, and all of the issues we've addressed to-date on the PC took higher priority over the other fixes the consoles received that the PC hasn't yet.
I'll post that list as soon as it's finalized, but in the meantime it's safe to assume that any problems you guys experienced that have been fixed on the consoles will be included in a future patch for the PC as well. The first week or two, though, we had much more pressing PC-specific issues to address which the teams focused on first. Any additional PC-specific issues that you're experiencing will continue to be addressed in a manner consistent with the Black Ops Patching Process I posted earlier today:

What I keep finding rediculous is how they are explaining the 'Patch Progress' to us as an excuse of why the PC patches are taking so long.
If the other platforms were taking this long to receive patches as well - Then I would understand.
But they aren't, and you can't be telling me that it is harder releasing a patch for the PC then the 360. I know that is bullshit for a fact. The 360 is a fucking console. The PC version is on Steam where releasing a patch should be fucking easy.

QA can take a LOT longer on PC.
(Though I'm not saying they're doing proper QA)

For the PC there will be more QA involved, to test on different configurations; derpbox is just that one config they have to care about.
To give you an idea of how much work it is (I've been struggling with this myself quite a bit lately): XP SP2, XP SP3, Vista x86, Vista x64, Vista SP1 x86, Vista SP1 x64, Win7 x86, Win7 x64. That's 8 common OS's; take the 2 videocard brands into account, and you're up to 16 usecases already. That's not even considering testing against more than one driver revision, settings in the game itself, and so on. And no, you really can't catch SP3 and SP2 in one go, there are some substantial differences 
Not saying I'm happy or agree with the slowness, but your statement of it not being harder to get it done for PC is quite inaccurate

Yeah.....they tested it on hundred of configurations...my ass. That's total BS since I have 4 friends, 4 including me are experiencing problems, only one has a slight stuttering and can play the game.
Now imagine the QA that went into the freakin game since testing it on 5 random PCs resulted in so many "unexpected" performance problems. They don't need to test it on hundred of possible config they could have tested it on max 10 PCs running different hardware and solved the problem.
It isn't a problems of long QA it's a problem of non existent QA, let's face it...it's a beta stage product on the PC and they're pricing it as a console title.
