I worked retail one year during black Friday...It was insane. We got a bunch of these portable DVD players so I stacked them in a neat little pyramid on a pallet out by my section and stood near it while the doors open. When the people came rushing in I unknowingly backed into the corner because it looked like a swarm of ants, when they dispersed, my pyramid was gone...just gone.
Yeah, the whole black friday thing in recent years has gotten out of control. People only have themselves to blame for being so fucking stupid though. Good job, you got 50% off on some piece of shit DVD player that will break in a year anyways.
Almost all the deals on black friday in retail stores aren't even that good. All you gotta do is goto newegg and you can find a better deal without having to get trampled over by a bunch of 300 pound sea cows. Most of the videos you see where people are acting like retards are in low-income areas as well, so the people stampeding aren't of the highest caliber either.
I went to a black friday sale a few years ago to get something or another..i think it was a laptop or something. I remember being in line at like 2am (and i was like 25th in line). About an hour before best buy opened up, the employees came around to each person in line in order..asking them what they wanted to purchase. When you told them "I want the toshiba laptop" or whatever, they would give you a ticket for that item. When they ran outta the store inventory for that particular item, they stopped handing out tickets. So when the store opened at 6am, everyone walked in, took their tickets to the counters, and received their merchandise. Pretty orderly and calm. Dunno why more stores do that.

The difference is that you need to have a yt account and be logged in to view the original video. Thanks tonizito. I didn't even view the original video but it's not like it's something new. Happens every year and yet people act so horrified. What is surprising is how little it takes for order to break down and turn people into primal creatures.
