Okay, so since this is the PC section, I'll give top 3 games for the PC:
1) Assassin's Creed 2
2) New Vegas
3) Alpha Protocol
Top 3 games I played on consoles:
1) Red Dead Redemption
2) Heavy Rain
3) Resonance of Fate
Top 3 biggest disappointments:
1) Final Fantasy 13
2) Mass Effect 2
3) BioShock 2
Super-fun happy game I'd never heard of (best surprise):

Mass Effect 2 - 86
Fallout New Vegas - 66

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - 21
Civilization 5 - 19
Assassins Creed 2 - 16
Amnesia - 15 (only original game I quess - havent tried it)
Call of Duty: Black Ops - 15
GTA 4: Episodes from Liberty City - 15
PC Gaming slinking behind hollywood movies in creativity is fucking ape shit.
And ya Fallout New Vegas should win above Mass Effect 2.

Haha, I agree 100%. I'm really only started playing it a few months ago, but it's dominated my time since then... however, I liked quite a few titles this year including, in no particular order:
ME2
SC2
BC2
COD:BO
NBA2K11
Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light
Bioshock 2
Assassin's Creed 2
W40K: DOW2 - Chaos Rising
Also, I thought there were some great indie games (not all released this year perhaps, but some had major updates), including:
Shank
Flight Control HD
Nation Red
Altitude
Zombie Driver
Gratuitous Space Battles
