shadows have nothing to do with the stutters, it was a suggestion to get higher fps.

most are turning off the sound pci conected hardware or the realtek shit and using a usb headset instead for sound..

on that config, i see u turned off ragdoll and set this to seta sys_configSum "0" <<< any reason for not having that reading anything after you have been playing..?

its not a setting you set, but which is rather calculated (optimized settings). When you change cfg manually (with notepad/wordpad etc) and then start game, it thinks you have changed hardware and asks to rescan system, which you obviusly deny. Thats why it will be set to 0 Smile

just rechecked, it will set a new value nevertheless (for me its set to ""160007939") now.

yeah its what i meant by "reading" anyhow 16 is the figure that seems to be common I would like to know how its calculated and what relevance it has to the operating of the game.. Very Happy

I change my config file and then i make it non writeable.
I've put some vars in it for offline bot playing.
Like:

I've changed a few things, like prefered dx to dx9.

sv_ is a server side setting, if YOU run server. So playing with a cracked version that isnt connected to steam, it doesnt do shit Smile

Story is ok, certainly well better than the las 2 cods, But the gameplay is horrid:
follow, hit ffff,folow..fff some more, dont do nothing (well you cant, gun is locked anyway).. follow,,wait on X soldier so you can ...yeh follow him!! there are entire sequences where you do nothing, and the psychedelic recurring theme between levels argghh

I had same problem but before with NVA soldier Very Happy

I got nice tip for you - if you got a gamepad - Download a JoyToKey program and set one button for F key and then start the game and pressing the button on gamepad and then works normally

i had the same bug too on the Vietnam level when the NVA soldier jumps down from top of the tunnel. Hammer f and ..nadda.. reloaded last save and it was fine, but still...

I agree about the "follow" bit.
That was friggin anoying. I wonder what the hell they thougt implementing that?!

Well playing with bots require going through the mp exe.
I dont take anything for granted.
Dont want any odd callbacks to Steam.
Then again, i could block the exe in my firewall, but then i wouldnt be able connect to alterops... Wink

Pretty much fucking disgusted. Probably the last CoD game I will buy. At least MW2 didn't have the serious technical issues this one has. Blackops would be an amazing game if it weren't for the now apparent, lack of support. The mind boggling part is that it is without any doubt harder to patch the consoles, yet the consoles are getting more patches. To release a patch for the PC version would require far less time for them but it is quite obvious they are putting all their manpower on the console versions instead.

There is no way to do that... not at the moment at least. Don't know why they took the option out, considering it was in the engine before.

It's interesting tho how people who never played and who dont own an original (so for now there's no way to try or play it in MP) are still bitching about the game Smile and they dont even know how fun is playing in MP

Well for sure it seems that DerpBox has more problems on multiplayer than PC version. Dont understand the rage here, atleast treyarch is working on fixes.
