Not exactly. For one thing it's entirely pre-rendered at a much higher resolution with greater AA and a flawless framerate. The most important difference is shadow resolution, which suffers on PS3 hardware... it uses exactly the same assets (tracks, cars, etc) and everything, so GT5 looks the same, just not as good. It's Ferrari Tribute after the unveiling of the 458, not a gameplay video.
Strangely I think this tribute video looks stiff and lifeless, too clean, and the real game will have a lot more 'life' to it and look more amazing for that, even if it's not as high resolution.

I'm in the same boat mate, don't worry I have faith in the hackers and we should soon be able to upgrade to 3.50 and downgrade back to 3.41 as we wish.

Well, my pre-order at Amazon is showing no movement. Since it's CE I can't just cancel and go somewhere else either so I'm shit-outta-luck at this point Don't understand it either since there are people who ordered later than me getting the game earlier. Just my luck. Must amuse myself with other people playing the game instead...
