Cant see why it wouldnt work, unless your FTP connections fucks something up. You will have to reapply all the patches of course, since theyre saved elsewhere.

You can't use any commercially available thumb-drive AFAIK. I use my old Palm Pre and it works flawlessly. I've also used my HTC EVO to jb and it worked okay, but I hated having to re-flash the phone everytime I wanted to use it so I found a different way (the aforementioned pre).

You can use an iphone/ipod/HTC EVO 4G/TI-84 graphing calculator/several commercially available "solutions"/etc.

 Good luck!

It isn't a regular USB flash drive, its actually a USB programmer device. Think of a tiny little computer that just looks like a flash drive, designed to send a special signal through the USB port to the PS3.

That said, I got one of these: http://www.pjrc.com/store/teensy.html

for 18 bucks and it works like a charm when flashed with the appropriate programmer firmware.

					| Well that just looks like a bunch of generic answers to me. It's not like they're gonna confirm that it can be copied ( ps downgrade ) or that they've finally been beat by sony with the 3.50 firmware ( although i hope that's not the case )

					| Can't you just use two hard drives and swap them out?
Hard drive one with 3.41 for use with your method of jb
Hard drive two with 3.50 and a retail copy of Gran Turismo 5 for example

When you want homebrew just pop in hard drive one.

This way you can sorta have the best worlds until a new method of breaking 3.50 is available?

					| Not that simple unfortunately. If it was so easy there'd be no real need for a downgrader or anything like that.
Firmware stays the same even if you change your HDD.
