Yeah, still weeks away from a 3.50 exploit if there will be one at all, least the downgrader actually works (Now Confirmed)

The downgrade site is exactly same as jailbreak site I new from the start is was probably real.. the once so secure system is falling deeper and deeper in a black hole. The JB guys can generate authentic jig verification.. only solution Sony has to close this is disable their own jig device (if thats even possible) but then they cannot fix easy broken console's. warranty for new ps3 might go down because of this...

The downgrade solution doesnt really do a great deal, Still cant plays SDK 3.50 on it so, no biggy really. However, the fact that the 3.50 has been decrypted is more of a breakthrough, that could possibly lead to some good stuff. Bet sony are rubbing their hands together, think of all the new PS3s they will sell!!

Yeah dude, It's already been confirmed real, but you still cant play new games on it, so kinda pointless, unless people on 3.50 want to play older games but not new ones. Hopefully this will be cloned so you will be able to upgrade/downgrade at will, but is it really worth 40$ a time to downgrade??

LOL I wouldn't call that pointless .. downgrade is awesome solution..every ps3 owner can use jailbreak now.. you can't downgrade an xbox360..
for games with 3.50 sdk will be a solution..now that someone decrypted the 3.50 firmware wouldn't be to hard to just strip the required stuff from it.
if your ps3 fails you don't have to look for a pre 3.42 console.. it has just lots of advantages.. Sony can only fix this with disabling their jig(if possible) or a new motherboard revision which cost a lot of time.

What´s new in terms of cleaning up a little bit in the amount of hexes and mods? It´s a jungle to find both the right payload (and then a compiled one for your device) and then find a BM.

I wonder what Sony have up their sleeve, I just had to agree to another version of sony terms of service before i could log in, had abrief read and it specifically relates to not being able to modify/hack or bypass any security to gain access to PSN. Looks like they are preparing some sort of banhammer

People are saying it's just to bring the PAN / EUROPE agreement to the same level as NA America which they have had since June this year.
But i have no doubt there will be a banhammer in the near future..

So whats the best PS3 Hack to get now a days? I have a old FAT PS3 running 3.15 and Im thinking about upgrading it to 3.41, and would like to get it hack so i can install games to a new Int HD. So whats better? The PS3Key, Maximus AVRUSB 1.2 or the X3Max? The X3Max looks nice.

Well if i were you i'd go with the Minimus 32kb version, so far they have been extremely reliable and easily upgradable.

I can agree with the minimus, mine has been faultless. But the X3 would be my choice if I had to buy again, with the ability to patch with any hex is a good thing and the sd card ability for any future needs.

Btw, this might be unrelated to the ps3 jailbreak, but the avatar extended edition bluray isn't running on my ps3 :-)
While it starts up ok and shows some info text it never gets to the main menu, but on another PS3 I tried with an earlier firmware and no hack it worked just fine.
Does anyone perhaps know of such issues or is it maybe just my ps3 that's fucked for some reason? |
I have the Avatar extended Blu and I haven't had any issues playing it. I'm on 3.41 and use a Minimus. Everything's been fine and watched it completely yesterday. Not sure what the problem could be. |
k thanks for letting me know. I thought it was something else but couldn't think of anything that's different between my PS3 and the other I tried aside from the jailbreak and firmware, both of which I can now exclude as the cause.

There was scheduled maintence for 405pm uk so even legit users cant get on so not psn blocked etc.
weird thing is jb users are being asked for update and dns error and real users are just getting dns error.
