Toshiba Announces One-Minute-Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery

Quote:

Toshiba Corporation today announced a breakthrough in lithium-ion batteries that makes long recharge times a thing of the past. The company's new battery can recharge 80% of a battery's energy capacity in only one minute, approximately 60 times faster than the typical lithium-ion batteries in wide use today, and combines this fast recharge time with performance-boosting improvements in energy density.

This is awesome. I hate having the damn power cord plugged in all the time. The battery empties fast.

wooo Mchart go play with your 2005 edition Game and Watch... I respect your choice of buying the DS but we are sick and tired of your fanboy attitude on this forum

Don't get me wrong, the DS isn't a bad console, but a lot of us chose the PSP and you will have to live with that.

Sure you can point every weak point of the PSP as soon as we talk about them but the DS isn't a perfect machine as it still needs more games and better graphics to impress me.
BTW, most people enjoy playing games on their handheld consoles, not watching their battery life as you seem to be doing. Why do you always feel like you have to defend your DS against others? Maybe you regret every dollar you spent on it. I wouldn't and I don't with my PSP.

These as I already said are two VERY different consoles with completely different markets. The PSP would be better with longer battery life and everybody agrees on that. As would the DS with more good games and better hardware capabilities. (Please don't start saying "Graphics don't make the game" we know, but a good game with breathtaking graphics is better than a good game with previous generetion ones).
