so wait u can spoof sammy and use it on console it wasn't originally in for ap 2.5 or am i missing something? he says u will be banned, i couldn't care less about that so i would like to know if i can spoof sammy for offline use

Nope. Doesn't work. MS detects the spoofed drive and doesn't work. Just tried on my Liteon 360 with an older MS25 I had, put LT 1.0 on it. Unreadable disk...

So basicly even thou i don't want to update my firmware i have to because you cant play wavepatched ap2.5 games on the new dash? Sadly because i have a sammy drive:(
Is there any method on the horizon that will not requie another dvd flashing? I have 1.61 LT and dont feel like paying for flashing again.
Maybe some image patching or something? No one is working out any tool for this?

I have a fairly old Hitachi and get unreadable disc with the new dashboard :/
downloaded game -> unpack -> ppf-o-matic3 -> select the game -> select the patch v14-15.ppf -> burned -> tried to patch with the game did not work offline -> removed the dvd -> connect the x360 to the internet -> Patch online -> put the dvd back into the 360, and done.
I updated to the last dashboard w/ an USB key.
I tried it on my old box which has an Hitachi drive (the fw is old as fuck; flashed it early '07) and it's working like a charm...except my drive is pretty fucked up (the tray keeps closing and opening from time to time) so it's booting but pretty unplayable.
And now I'm getting "Play DVD" on my Elite (LiteOn w/ iXtreme 1.6 no-stealth). I guess I'm fucked.
