recent news from other forum:
I have the new dash update, and has a hitachi 46 in it.
Popped in a USB Drive, and created a local profile.
Then tried out ACB.
ACB has a part of the dashboard update on the disc, but it doesn't stop me from playing ACB or Fable 3.
Now, it isn't connected to live, but i'm about 3 hrs into ACB now, and not too worried about the AP2.5
The workaround here is using a local profile on the new dash (only if its updated with a disc, not live) on a usb drive...
so perhaps hitachi guys with pre 78/79 versions aren't screwed?

i have hitachi drive and i did update to dashboard 12611 with usb flashdrive
and it works now (fable 3 & assassins creed 3)

bs, doesn't work and won't make any difference how your console got updated, same files
hitachi drives work only with consoles they came with, spoofed drives won't work

This was probably asked many times before, but what the hell ^^
Is there any way at all to play ACB? I believe I have a Ben-Q (?) 360 with iXtreme LT and I didn't update the dashboard yet.
I don't have live and never connect to the internet. I don't care if I get banned. If I connect now I'll probably get flagged anyway.
What about the workaround 3 posts above? local profile and stuff.

ok, just because I'm afraid to not be able to play old games I won't pay ACB.
I really don't know what Xtreme version my hitachi has: only know it was modded on December 2006 on a xbox with a release date november 2005 tag:Till now I never went live but played all games with no wave patched disks .I don't know what revision is my hitachi.
So I the only way to know if ACB works with my hitachi is ....playing it!!

if your 360 originally had your hitachi drive u will be able to play acb and original games, dashboard can't change your fw lol

I burnt it this morning and I can boot it but it asks me to update the dashboard.
What happens if I do ?
What will change? Apart from the dashboard obviously.
Will I be able to play non-AP2.5 games?
What about Fable 3 and ACB

My original and only drive is an hitachi manufactured into an xbox with a november 2005 release date, so it's one of the first xbox .
Unfortunately I don't know what Xtreme version my hitachi has save it can't be after december 2006.It was my first and only modding done on my xbox . BTW did Ixtreme exist on december 2006?

no there was no ixtreme in 2006 i believe, 360 just got cracked that time
if u have old fw u can play any game i think just like with LT coz it has no security checks

the only minus with updating dash on the banned 360 would be risking not to be able to play fable 3. Old dash it worked great. liteon.

shouldn't we get all this dashboard/fw sh** in a proper thread and talk more about the game coz :
1. some people are obviously playing the fucker
2. sooner or later, all the new games will come w/ a mandatory dashboard update and all the threads will come w/ all the "will it work or not" kind of sh**
3. AC 2.5 or AC 3.0, i really don't give a tiny a rat ass as long as the game is good
i know i'm scared as sh** updating the M$ box but come on, bring some love guys!
and bring me NFS - Hot Pursuit!!! (off topic, i know but i couldn't resist  )

Hmmm, this sucks: "This disc is unreadable.
Copied it to hdd with FreeStyleDash2.0 Disc Copier, but still no go :/
I'll try extracting from the iso and ftp'ing it over.

Just use the modded xex or update to the new dash with easy freeBoot

Newest dashlaunch made it work on my jtag, so far it feels like any Assassins Creed, goodlooking relaxing game.

Updated to new Kinect earlier dash today and lastest Dashlaunch.
FTP'ing didn't work either (but that makes sence after reading everything else here - must be a good burn/iso).
Will do some more reading and look for that modded xex if worst come to worst.

Get Dashlaunch 2.05? Because ACB works fine for me when ftp'ed over, I am also on newest dash and dashlaunch 2.05. With earlier versions of dashlaunch there was a disc unreadable error though.
