@m3th0d2008 Just go into the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security MMC snap-in (Start -> Run -> "wf.msc"), go into Outbound rules and add a new rule for the game's EXE. To be on the safe side, add a rule for Inbound rules as well.

So I should invest points in metallurgy and such? The reason I'm asking is that crafting is shit in most RPGs. Waste of time and skillspoints.
What is the star rating in the item description and what is "kit"?

Variety? They all look almost identical. They're basically empty aswell.
Speaking of dungeons, is there a map of all the entrances?

The difference in crafting here is that you don't create new items, you just improve existing ones. Any weapon/armor can be improved, so maxing at least the general metallurgy skill is a good investment of points - I did it after maxing a few offensive skills, personally. The star is just the item's level and as for kit.. you mean the set? Not sure if it's just for collectors or whether you'll actually gain some bonus for getting, say, a full set of leather armor.

The game feels awfuly cheap so far. The hud, lack of AF, terrible lip syncing, rushed story, voice overs sif they were forced to do record them etc.
Also, the tutorial makes me want to stab the shit out of someone.

Ok, well, Engine.Farplane controls the level of detail of distant objects. I guess similar to the first game. View distance of 1 sets it to 800 and view distance of 10 sets it to 1200. Going past 1800 starts causing weird stuff to happen to the water at far range. Far away trees gain in detail past 1200. But going up to 5000 can make some stuff like distant castle walls alot more detailed. Engine.dstfarplane controls the detail of "distant land", but you start getting bad stuff happening if you go above 15000 with this (the default is 6000). Nearplane defaults to 3. and changing it didnt seem to do anything whatsoever.
Increasing the LOD also makes the camera farther away from your character as well. A value of 55 seems ok. Going up to 85 makes the camera just too far away, even with the mouse scroll to make it closer. Don't go above 100 unless you want to get sick. Seriously.
Grassuserdistance beyond 1.5 might see some benefit in other areas. Setting it to 0 disables grass, setting it to 0.5 keeps the grass close to the player. 2.0 or 3.0 might see benefits past the first starting area.
You may be able to get away with farplane set to 5000 and dstfarplane set to 10000.
best to edit a file and name it mycommands.txt and load it in the console with the @mycommands.txt

As they not enabled DX10 and DX11 yet in the current version, are there actually screenshots that compare the 3 API's with eachother in this game?
Because it already looks quite good on DX9 API so i wonder how the other 2 will look like.
