The file's located in the same folder as the "save" folder. (Not IN the save folder)
Not sure if its the same for steam or the disc version tho.
Try searching, easiest way to find it...

You'll find the .CFGs there. Just put the contents into those. |
I dont have a "players" folder . |
Start the game.
To get the config.cfg start SP campaign and it will be created
to get the config_mp.cfg, start MP game and it will be created

Played a few games. It seems the stuttering is gone in MP for the most part, but I still had to drop AA to 2x to get a more consistent performance. At least now you can actually enjoy it.
Also noticed a bug on Crisis map. It seems you cant shoot through the railings/fence at one certain building even though the gap between the posts is huge. It's even worse than the flying apple! The bullets just get stuck in midair. Spent both primary and secondary ammo before I realised I might as well just make faces at the guy on the other side...

Changing the "ConfigureGHz" and "seta_sys_sysMB" variables in the cfg file seemed to help me out. Changed it to 2.8 GHZ (my processor's clock) and 4096 (my amount of RAM) respectively and stutter, while still there, has diminished. I'll also wait for the patch to be cracked to see if there's any more improvement.

Looks like G2Play made a big mistake with a friend of mine.
He ordered 2 keys for BO, canceled 1 of them, but still recieved 2 keys in his mail. (he did got the money back aswell).
Big fail there from G2Play xD

Can someone make a short tl;dr ?
That is if there is something importand? |
tl;dr: back ops is one screwed up game
what is wrong with that game, there is no savegame at all
at first i noticed that there was no way to resume a game, then i learn you have to do some trick in the menu to make it appear a new slot "resume", but when you click resume, it starts the game at the begining of the level instead of last checkpoint!!
and why can't you skip the cinematics? well, you can, but the possibility appear only in the last 2seconds of the movie
you could think it's because the game use that time to load the level, but no, once it's over, you have a blank screen for 30s, burning your eyes, before you can play
and when you finally want to quit the game you still have to go through another shitty cinematic before going to menu to quit the game
i hate those cinematics, succession of random shity images with no sense (maybe it's to get you used to stuttering)
epileptics must love it

I had no problems with resume. But i only stopped once, and it was at the beginning of a new level

Looks like they put out a singleplayer patch (there was a Steam download), after the multiplayer fix earlier - now the singleplayer runs smooth and you can really feel the difference.

Just played some offline MP with bots - ran just as shite as online so now i'm convinced it's bad coding and poor GPU utilisation in favour of over-utilisation of the CPU.
Then I went online and played a wager - the "GUN" game itself was great, but the lag litterally meant I couldn't shoot anyone. It was mega shite, completely ruined. BOO!

You're so small/tiny compared to the box that it's unlikely that you bought it. More like your parents bought it for you.
