You only get the ability it you USE the skill book mate. If you don't use it you don't gain anything from it and If you use the book to learn a skill, it disappears.

yeah. It seems to be possible to find a skillbook more than once so maybe you have a second book for a skill you already know, in which case the book is probably worthless to you.

Oh my behind! Evil game doesn't crash, so just had to stop playing myself. Couple hours first then food and now almost 3 hours more. Don't know how you all are finding it so easy. I play with medium and died couple times already and having a tough time when ever with multiple opponents.
Level 3 now, closing on 4th. But someone posted that space helps with multiple opponents, have to try that. Currently I've ran away with them hitting me on my back and trying to use some fire bolts and blade after that.
Game says 2h 11min, so I don't know how I've got over 4 hours spent for that? But at my rate it will take forever to finish this. The start island is sooo tiny and still one corner left to explore.
Agree with UI icon being huge, but they are alway too small in other games, when you have to guess what the item might be. Here you see it instantly, no need to read a description is it a weapon or piece of armor.
Also lipsync is off, like someone said, but haven't found any bugs yet so I can live with those. Night time I saw 40 FPS with moon casting shadows in forest. Other than that it's above 50fps with 1920x1080 maxed.
Well worth the RE money, especially happy about Cassara statue having nipple pokies like the in game character

This game is such a little hidden gem, didn't realize how good it would be till now. Runs great and very interesting and deep combat. Found some bugs but nothing that kills the game.
Runs great even though it looks amazing.

It'll look better when the devs have sorted out DX10/11 and some other features like AF.. Many of its gfx options are atm disabled because of bugs, according to a post in the official forum.

How is it annoying? it just notifies you when you can make changes to your gear or disassemble them. It's pretty great imo.

What is the yellow star representing in weapon/armor items?
In the item description for shields, what is the green shield with a white v? (not weapons)
(I've looked through the manual and can't find the answers)

Yeah seems like it's the item level. Not that it really matters, just a rough indicator of the item's power (if you upgrade the item you'll see a +1 on it, indicating an increase of power).

Maybe it's just a quick way of comparing items to another? See a armor with 4 stars and another with 5, you'll know the latter is better without calculating all the sharp/blunt damage together
