Like i said, it isn't stutter or anything the game just feels. . . clunky.
What graphics card are you running?
I would think my rig should have no troubles running this game at max. I run everything at max and haven't had any problems with any other games I can think of off the top of my head.

I've got an HD5770.

By clunkiness do you mean like game performance? Or animations and what-not? I can imagine thinking the game feels clunky because of the animations.

Did you try disabling catalyst AI? Apparently there's some problems with it. Doesn't feel clunky on my 5870. I know what you mean by clunky though. I hate it when games perform like that (gothic 4 cracked version, i see you!).

I wonder how long you can play the game?
If compared to Fallout NV?

Reading here I get the feeling that this game is bigger then F:NV, right?

This as well, I've had AI turned off ever since it was giving me problems in The Force Unleashed 1.

Yes, bigger world than NV. Just look at the world map (it's online) and all the dungeons. Each one might be a half hour at least. I love explorative free roaming RPGs ever since Ultima 3/4 and even Questron on the Atari 8bit! Smile

Nope. I have not tried that.
But I shall this evening and report back. Thanks for the tip.

An yes, it does feel like the animations. Not really stutter or anything it just doesn't feel fluid. I think you know what i mean.

I tell you something; I am incredibly impressed with this game so far. The visuals are great, no doubt about that (though I wish you could have it so the screen blur is only present during running/movement) and the world seems very "alive" - but, and this is going to sound odd when you realise this is the second game in the series, it's the VOICES I really like. They're very good! Script seems ok too, with some genuine humour and passion in the conversations. Performance is absolutely impeccable too, not a single hitch or issue or any complaint whatsoever - running like a dream (50-70fps at ALL times) on my comp with max settings.

I think it's time to put my playthrough of "Flames of Vengeance" on hold for a little bit, give me some time to have a proper play on TWII.

So far? very impressed. Very.

Are you using a purchased copy or the Reloaded release?
If purchased, how does the MP work? I can't remember on the first Two World Game if i could see European servers or not. I am tempted to by this game, but I am afraid if I buy it through a proxy via digital download in UK, I might screw myself for multiplayer like I did with Demon Souls on PS3.

Reloaded. I have three games on my "BUY!!" list; This, Dragon Knight Saga and, if Treyarch fix it, Black Ops. Sadly my buy list has to wait a few weeks as I'm kinda strapped at the moment, having to pay rent and whatnot.

Yeah wow. That's for one complete playthrough, not counting subsequent plays with different character/skill builds.

Heh, the prison break only took me 33min to complete, still going on with tutorial Smile Got my first crash with screenshot button, while on the log crossing the gorge.

Absolutely gorgeous, spend 10min just swimming/walking through grass and watching sun/fish/birds behind the first teleport.

Hmm, where might the screenshots be saved or they don't with print screen? Took one from the armor book that made me lol. Something about frost resilient armor being good for your butt while sledding Very Happy

Same! (without the 50-70 fps of course Laughing ) I loved the first game a lot, but this is improved in almost anything. There are some things though that I liked more in the first game, like the UI for example. I only at the beginning of the first island because I wanted to finish Black Ops first (I apologize Sabin for not trusting you Laughing, it turned out to be the best CoD since CoD2). So yeah, being one of the few that loved the first game so much, this one is just mindblowing for me (Sabin, are you with me on this one? Rolling Eyes ). I still don't know on what to specialize, but I think I'll take the mage path for a while. In a game like this, where I have the freedom to do whatever I want with the skills I always combine classes, but I need to stick to one class before I grow up my character a bit. This is how I like to play the RPGs when I can.

So is the re-application of the keygen the confirmed route to go to continue playing then? I just want to make sure before I dive into this game wholeheartedly. It sounds awesome from what you guys are saying.

Playing it demo mode and hitting key only after that was an option that worked. (well so I heard, my internet activation went just fine Razz)

@DR

I'm definitely with you on the TW love! As flawed as it was, and even given the horribad voice acting, I absolutely adored the first Two Worlds - and so far it looks like this could be every bit as good, if not better. Hate the UI/inventory though, it's seriously console-esque and not exactly conducive to happy gaming on <40" monitors.

Right now I'm playing as a melee-based character, cross between Fighter/Assassin. I'll spec a few points in magic, but it's not going to be my primary focus. One thing I'm loving about TWII is that you can dual wield right from the start! ^_^

.. oh and LOL at Black Ops Very Happy

The summon spell is very useful - I summon a scorpion that doesn't really do any meaningful damage, but it can take a real beating and enemies often keep targeting it while I smack them from behind with my axe. Lvl 10 (with barely any skill/stat points used since I'm undecided what to go for yet) and clearing the dungeons full of undeads with ease.

This Game has one of the worst UIs I've ever experienced.

- Why isnt it possible to brew a certain amount of potions at the same time?
- Why isnt it possible to break up a certain amount of items at the same time?
- Why are the icons so frakking huge?
- Why isnt there a proper and beautiful questbook?

Considering the LOD they put into quests and leveldesign, they could have put in a little more effort in the UI.

I really hope it's going to be moddable. At least make those items smaller ffs!

the rest of the game is really nice and entertaining, except maybe for the boring townsfolk in those huge but somewhat sterile cities. (At least thats what it is on the Savanna Island, I havent got any further)

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Maybe stupid question but why the hell does my GPU temp go to 70 celcius?
Fans blowin at full power. Fallout NV was on max settings and GPU-fan was quiet.
I have the game on max 1920*1200. Maybe there is a setting I could lower?

What setting is usually making the GPU work hard?, shadows, AA or bloom effects?

EDIT: I wonder why I never heard of this game before!?? I love the lore etc
I have a lot of reading to do!

Shadows and AA are generally the most demanding features.
