I've got an ancient (2007) system which consists of an E6750 and an 8800GTS 640mb. I am able to run every other game without any stutter or lag.

No lag or stutter in: MW2, BC2, FONV, MOH. All running 1920x1200 @ medium OR 1280x800 on MAX.

This game is CLEARLY unoptimized shit.

Oh and BTW: I am an oldschool quakeworld player (since '96) so I know how important framerates are, and couldn't live with 10-30 fps, as many suggest the game must be running at with such ancient hardware.

And: lets just look at the minimum system requirement for this game:

XP/Vistaa/7. C2D E6600/Phenom X3 8750. 2GB RAM. SM 3.0 256MB 8600GT/Radeon X1950 Pro

So even with these components it should be PLAYABLE.

Really, no offense. Since I looked at your SIG, you got a pretty nice Rig there. But the 8800GT is totally out of place. And I think that's why it's not in it Very Happy

well he has had every card under the sun of late in there, the 8800 is temporary I think Very Happy but no idea why he keeps fucking selling them or whatever.. Im guessing his water block was more important Smile

Lol I actually have a GTX 480 sitting in my closet at the moment. The box is sealed and Im selling it tommorow to some derp kid for a profit. I refuse to use this card because I bought it for about 350. Sabin said I wont be able to get a GTX 480 for under $250. I accept his challenge and I will acquire a GTX 480 for under $250 before January 2010. Count on it punks! Very Happy

But until then, I must show sum luv to this 8800GT Very Happy

Yes. Derp is used when someone makes an idiotic/unintelligent comment about something or is just a total spongebrain. Or something similar, you get it.

God to the bunch of babies crying about how was such a poor development, and how badly Treyarch have done, would you just shut up? There is a known ISSUE which is causing your lag / stutter. The game itself runs fine behind this (just take a look at your FPS). It's some form of Steam integration issue, as the menu itself runs laggy before the game has even loaded. Please just shut up and wait for Treyarch, who are probably working their asses off, to fix the issue. It's clearly not going to remain like it is - the game is running poorly on EVERYONES system, thus its not a matter of optimisation - it's a bug which will be fixed. STFU until then would you!

I don't know why I'm talking to you now but I can't help it. I said that his GFX is bottlenecking his CPU. What I said had nothing to do with the game. Rolling Eyes

So at least first try it and then talk about it.

U dont need 100-200+ fps lock in sp games lol

Psssst, I had one myself. I'm just telling ya because I don't think you know. How should you.
And it's still my business if I would need 100-200fps. Gladly I don't. I'm fine with 30+fps (But still favoring steady 60fps over 30). I wasn't back then in 2001-2005 because of E-Sports matters.
But keep lying to yourself... we both know that this card is getting to it's limits now if you play on 1680x1050.

(1000fps are looking beautiful)

Ye i know its getting to its limits, but still runs almost everything at very good and stable fps.

And i play a lot of games competitively, so trust me, i know how fps in games are important, but on some way lucky me, every new game have a shit mp with no competitive future, so im still stuck with quake, css, cod2, cod4, bf2, coh etc. And in all this games i have a very good fps. And all this new games that came out i just finished sp and uninstalled them and when played them, almost never had any problems with fps.

But well, back to BO, adding the complete folder to exception in AV fixed shuttering in sp, mp didnt try bcz i canceled preorder and took SC2 instead Smile

It seems that the Catalyst 10.10d fixes some of the stuttering for me, worth checking out.

Already got that drivers, no change. I've even tried VonDach modded drivers, no luck.
I made .cfg changes mentioned some pages ago in this thread, helped a bit, but it is FAR from calling game playable.

I agree with you there. I'm sorry if it looked like I was saying the card is shite. It's just getting to it's limits. Gladly it's still a slow process.

And yes, I stopped with competitive gaming in 2005 because of the exact same reasons you said there. Except CSS... it's shite imho mostly because of the source engine itself. Still waiting for a game that's up to the task. Even though I know that this is never gonna happen again since the money is made on consoles.

No, this is not a lame attempt at trolling, I just can't believe that this forum and the steam forum is filled with posts about the game running like shit.
I mean, I must be the luckiest gamer in the world Smile

I can confirm that by changing the
multithreaded to 1
and multiGPU to 0

you gain 10+ fps, AND improved GFX for the game.

So start the game, enter a MP match, exit the game. Now edit the config_mp.cfg and change those values.

Hmm, can somebody tell me how I can change the FOV in singleplayer permanently? The only real way so far to change it, is to type ;cg_fov 80 from the SP console, but I have to do it every time I start a new mission or restart the game.

Make sure to set it on Read Only or else after every match it will be set back to default.

funny, uh, just try Gothic 4, Mafia 2, Lost Planet 2 DirectX 11 (of course you can't) and even the late Divinity 2. "High" settings, you said.

Likewise this made it worse for me. This is not a fix, I bet if you replace these settings you will also be fine.
