Stutter's really not all that bad as everyone's making it out to be. It's still very much playable.

I have been looking forward to playing this online but alas, it's looking unlikely now If Treyarch dont acknowledge an issue and fix, I won't play (will return my copy coming tomorrow).
RARGH. | one FUCKING TITLE
"Spider-FUCKING Man: Web of FUCKING Shadows"
PC version was AND STILL IS A FUCKING DISASTER !!!!! not fixed ever... and they 1.1 patch made things even worse!!!! when on the XBOX360 IT WAS A SMOOTH OPERATOR EXPERIENCE RIGHT FROM THE START
Tryarch are a CONSOLE company that knows they console stuff but can't do PC games
another fine example : Ultimate Spider-Man was a shitty port , Spider-Man 3 OH OMFG was a horrid stuttering performance this game has...Quantum of Solace PC version had pixel shader 2.0 when xbox360 pixel shader 3.0 effects (shadows, lighting etc..).......Call of Duty: World at War with its memory hole lag ERROR
but now WAIT your saying that a BUG THAT WAS IN Call of Duty: World at War is AGAIN present in Call of Duty: Black Ops...DAMN that fucking dreping ridiculous

The stuttering issues aren't present in the singleplayer. It's in the multiplayer that it is bad.

is there any way to play zombie mode with skidrow's version? don't care about multiplayer but an offline solo mode would have been nice.

Oh, and apparently now we are driving with clicking left mouse click for forward and right mouse click for backwards. |
its derpy but if you look at the big picture then youll understand.
this is what it has come down to me with, I really thought the cod sp campaigns were short on skill since MW but its taken me this long to realize they arnt about using the most common controls, or making the experience hardcore so it takes lots of dieing and trying to accomplish a mission.
what its about, its like an action movie that you go through, its not competitive competition, just enjoy what it is for what it is.
if this what the whole package, it would be a rip, but if you want some challenges, play online. the game also comes with zombie mode like in WAW, some co-op challenge mode that you can fight enemy AI with just a buddy, and some mini 2d game that they say is worth 10 bucks.
sry for the big long rant but i just feel ive got my moneys worth and finally am happy with all the content I got from this purchase.

doesn't exactly help for MP for for SP I did four things and, for me at least, it made all the difference. Not sure which did the trick or if it was just pure coincidence but I changed the compat properties of blackops.exe to win xp sp3, disabled desktop composition, and also disabled visual themes. And lastly, I specifically blocked blackops.exe in my firewall. I hadn't gotten any messages about it trying to connect but I did it anyway.
After doing those things got a lot smoother for me. I played all the way through to the pentagon level then quit after that. Performance is borderline for my machine anyway but the stuttering, for the most part, was gone.
