I recommend this movie to my friends but they keep asking what it's about and after that I just don't care anymore because people are used to stories like "Hank Storm was the toughest cop in L.A. but they murdered his wife and now he is on a killing spree to find the murder..." and the twist is that it was ordered by his chief...

Lebanon (2009): Boring, lame, no story 4/10 how the fuck can this win an award? Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 2 decades, you will be a bit shocked and maybe like the movie. Really really really did not get the point. Yeah war sucks, but anything more? Nop

Never let me go: 6.5/10 Ok, but kinda slow movie though. Somewhat controversial, but the story has been told already in for example The island (+ scarlett johansson is way hotter than keira knightley. Very Happy)

wall street 2: 7.5/10 enjoyable; Shia LaBeouf kicks ass

Machete: 7.5/10 Fun fun fun

Well I am quite open to any kind of 'cinematographic' award type movie. Some movies suck donkeyballs, but are nicely edited/nice music/whatever. There is mostly a reason to give it an award.

But this was ZzZzZzZzZzZ.

4 dudes inside a tank. And they zoom in - through the 'canon-cam' - on war victims. And that is all that happens. Nothing more. Come on!!

Djeez, even RT has a 84% rating. WTF this movie sucks donkeyballs. There a zillion better films out there on the same subject. I felt no connection, no emotional bond. Maybe I had a bad day?

Watch it and you'll see

i thought she was just a little too stupid and dumb-faced for the bulk of the film. she looked like a deer in the headlights for the entire thing, utterly shell shocked and bewildered... was just too much to enjoy, and i wish they would have scaled it back a bit. yeah i know her 'thing' is the thick-as-a-brick dumb blond, but i just cant get into those characters.

cruise was good though, but overall pretty meh. ending was fucking torture though, from the hospital to the credits, but ive said that before.

Yeah anti-war israeli films are old news already.
Even though it depicted quite well the experience of that war, and the actors played quite well. Especialy Ashraf Barhoum who played the "marooni" and Zohar Shtrauss , who played "Gamil" the commander.

Anyway for a good israeli film watch- "Ajami". Some say it's the israeli "City of god".

Well, Israeli media is considered more left wing here, and especially the film makers, which are usually radical left. Wink
