yeah ive seen both vids sabin and they show lag. not the actors lag, but game lag. the tech works.
and what e3 fumble you're talking about? i saw the press conference. it seemed fine. laggy, but fine.
are you talking about the starwars thing? the guy from cirque du solei doing them moves to the star wars game? the thing that was obviously staged and not mentioned anywhere that i've seen that he's actually playing?

at the risk of being a "derp" i'm actually rooting for this shit but for one reason and that's exercise games. i love working out in the gym (lifting) but i hate cardio because that means getting on an elliptical or treadmill and having the hamster effect.
sure you got shit like p90x, billy's bootcamp, or other cardio videos and they work but there's no feedback for that. i always get lost or feel like i'm not doing it right - in other words it's all up to you. that stuff is also not very fun either but look at some of the wii stuff like the just dance games. it keeps you moving and burns calories (have to play at least an hour to accomplish anything tho) and fun too. the first just dance sucks in comparison to just dance 2. the second game is much more responsive to what you are doing and seems to be much more accurate compared to the first one.
in other words this technology, just like any other, will need to mature if it makes it that far. i think most of us are in agreeance that remains to be seen. i'm going to wait for the REAL reviews and that would be the ones by regular ass people like you and me who will post their experiences on forums. i expect that for most games this will be more of a gimmick, like motion control is for much of the wii library, but just like with the wii if you apply it properly it could certainly have its' uses.

No worries, I wasn't implying anything about the videos in question, but making general observations. I don't have time these days to look at Kinect videos.  |

Just go run outside. Amazing! Hell even burpees or some other exercises are decent for cardio.
Though I agree the only interesting part of kinect is the workout games. Dance central is just some animated dancer and you follow them, don't know why so many people are excited about that.

People playing this game look extremely ridiculous. Actually, anybody using kinect for games looks like an idiot jumping in front of TV.
IMHO it is not yet time for such controller for games due to technical issues. The idea as such is OK, but it just DOES NOT WORK yet.

The idea is OK, but if it does not work, kinect will be a failure. I think a hardware upgrade will be necessary. I wait a few months or years when Microsoft will release some new hardware.
