Is this game harder on Vet than MW2? The last one was dumb easy ffs.
Just like World at War, this one is HECTIC AS FUCK -- so yeah, in my opinion this is FAR harder than MW2. I was playing on Regular (hate the controller) and I still died several hundred times*, especially on the POW level near the end. Unlike MW2 where you are a veritable bullet sponge, this is more akin to classic COD games where you died in a couple hits.
*exaggeration, please keep the "derp!" comments to yourselves
i guess if it wasn't obvious enough the point was i found getting the mile high club achievement more difficult than what i played of WaW. just my opinion.
Well there you go. I thought the mile high club achievement was pretty tough. Took about 40 minutes to finally beat it. Whereas, there are sections in WAW on Veteran that are far more difficult to beat which had me trying for hours just to pass certain points on multiple occasions. WaW is definetely the harder game by a long way, but that doesn't make it better...because it's not.
well said - i just could't get into WaW. from what he had told me about later parts it just sounded as if it was going to be far too aggravating. i like a good challenge but what i played just wasn't fun.
i'm getting antsy reading all these comments about how it's like WaW. hoping there's enough MW elements in there to keep it fun for me.

Well, I thought it was fun..sometimes. The grenade spamming was aggrivating though and the accuracyof the grenade spams even more so. I actually threw the game away after I finished it on veteran. I wouldn't let it beat me, forced myself through it and made it my bitch, but that's how much it annoyed me. It went straight in the bin as soon as I was done
Really nice graphics and sound as with all the CoD games. I don't really care about the SP though as it's pretty much as Deelix summed it up. Just a matter of memorizing the routes through all the short varied game set pieces. ie: run there, go to cover or die.. etc etc.
Just playing this to get the sp out of the way before my PC copy arrives then i'll hit the online servers.
First time I turned on my 360 in over two years, thanks to this game. Luckily I found I still had 1 verb since god knows when.
My 360 is still running ixtreme 1.41 and this works fine on it. For those that are unsure.
Patched the iso to wave 2 with 360wavespatcher. Updated dashboard to latest Nov1st dash, burnt with imgburn and play.
This game has a fantastic SP story/campaign. The setting is perfect, for those who aren't too impressed by the modern warfare motif everyone is going and are sick of the WW2 games barrage we had in past couple of years. I personally really enjoyed the story, it was easy to follow, yet without being too obvious and straightforward. Has a personal edge while still sticking to it's "cold war" theme of political intrigue.
Yes it's a very violent game, anywhere form cinematic (eg. putting a piece of glass in a guy's mouth and punching him and hearing it break and him cough up the pieces) to the game play ,( limbs and other chunks flying off in a gory mess when a grenade hits, or the elbow forearm getting blown off from a gunshot of a .50 cal python magnum revolver...)
My gf and I are currently playing the hell out of the zombies co-op mode, which is back and is vastly improved.
I have no comment on multiplayer until I can actually buy the copy to play on xbox live. In any case, 10/10.
Yes Nuke town looks nice, difinitely will be good for some CQC action Personally though I like maps with some breathe room and more ways so you can get in enemy back and stab them with a knife
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. THIS GAME IS SO HARD ON VET. SERIOUSLY!
[/RANT OVER]
It's so annoying. I'm on the second (?) main mission, have just blown up the missile and i've made my way into the tunnels. God damn its difficult. I'm stuck on this one bit - my team-mates don't seem to do shit - they don't advance. And the enemy keeps respawning. I had some mega rage after trying (and failing) for the 10th time.
It's a cunt. It's like mega respawn, and mega not fucking clear what they want me to do.
For those of you that have played, it,s the coridoor just after the room where they kick over the table. At the other end of the corridoor they keep respawning, and there is a room on the right I _THINK_ i'm meant to enter - but every time i finally get there, I just get shot instantly. It's mega fucking lame.
Anybody experimented with the computer in the interrogation room yet? (in the main menu)
I mean the computer with the dos prompt behind your chair. If you look down at your restraints in the main menu you can break free from them for an easy 15 gs points and the ability to walk around the interrogation room. All I have found so far is this computer you can hack.
If anyone here comes up with logins and passwords for the terminal please post them. I'll be hacking it myself and will do the same.
Amazing game from start to finish. IMHO probably the best CoD package to date yet overall.
This will unlock the game Dead Ops Arcade" - You will be looking at a TV in the Main Menu. With the RS Stick, move your head downward until you see your wrists. Pull and Press the Left and Right Triggers rapidly until you can stand up. Next, walk towards the back of the room until you find a computer. The computer will pull up a command prompt and ask for a password. The password is "RUSALKA" then press Enter. Next, type in "CD" and press Enter. Then, type in "DOA" and press Enter. Then play and it will be unlocked.
Description: "Step back through time with this retro arcade zombie adventure and do battle with the forces of the Cosmic Silverback".
Yey,another person who rages a lot on veteran,i thought i'm the only one.Pretty hard really.Every level has 1 place where it's damn hard to progress forward. On the 8th mission so far, very challenging.
lol, i played first mission and then i get to the point where you run outside and there are towers with enemy's and lots of trucks and enemy's shooting from all over the place then some forces from the east help and some enemy armour appears to the left, everytime i get to that point it says, your actions had your team killed. it doesnt matter what i do, i replayed it for 30 times. any help?
wow... talk about full forward action =) i like it so far.. intense and sam worthington is good voiceactor as the dude u are playing with (mason) and ice cube as bowman hehe

I keep shooting them, but they reappear....I cant move to the trences becouse there are a lot of them....shooting them for about 40 minutes.....and nothing...restarted the mission 2 times....what must I do?

Spoiler:
Kick those green barrels of napalm down (3 of them) and they will back the fuck up
question: Do enemy keep respawning until you walk bypass some magic line?
Depending on the situation, yes. It's not all the time.. sometimes you have to clear an area/room/building of enemies and there are a set number, but things like Zilliver69's situation with the NVA pushing up the hill? That's a respawn area. People always whined about this, but I like it since it's supposed to be signifying a war. You could hardly sit on that hill for 10 minutes and suddenly wipe out the entire Vietcong army, now could you?

Thanx Nettwerk for the info.
I hate the respawning parts in games.....there shoud been a "dot" on the pleces to know what to do exactly.
