Easy enough, this is just walking and running though, not sure about the combat animations:

Install:
Simply extract the files from the 7zip, and place into your \fallout new vegas\Data folder.

Another reanimation project, might be all new animations instead of FO3:

I know it's sick but it's ridiculously fun too. Get this Mod http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35081

And go to the Strip, Legion Fort or any major place where alot of NPCs are, and shoot the shit out of everyone with the MG42 while looking awesome Very Happy
Smug

Too bad it's just "inspired", a Jin-Roh armour would look awesome in game.

I love that mod but it occasionally crashes my game when I try to put the armor on. It also causes my game to not run very smooth.

After playing a lot this weekend for me it feels as if the game has no good balance between "action" and "roleplaying". For powergaming you can ignore almost every RPG aspect and start grinding and leveling by searching the complete map for buildings, hidden caves and unique items, killing every monster and enemy you come across (even easier now since they are respawning) and collecting every weapon, ammo and armor. You only have to keep the most important fractions "neutral". Playing this way the game becomes almost a pure shooter/action-RPG like Borderlands.
It is not really "necessary" to play any other quest beside the mainquest. grinding, shooting and searching can make you so powerful, that everything else does not really matter.

thats not the way a roleplaying game should be designed. I would have liked it more if you could NOT simply find (or even worse: buy) all the very powerful weapons, armor and unique items at hidden places in this game, but instead you should get them ONLY by important sidequests or by working a long time for a certain fraction.

It fits to that "mis-balanced" gameplay that you get far too much XP for killing enemies and far too less for solving quests.
Well, others may call it "freedom", that you can either beat the game with the "action way" or the "RPG way", but I feel slightly disappointed now... Sad

All this is true...if leveling up is your only concern in an RPG

I don't agree with that reasoning in particular. I don't mind the special weapons and armor to be tied to quests and guilds or factions. In fact, that would be the natural thing to do. But, I believe an alternative way of getting those items are a must for the world to feel open and natural. If I'm so freaking good that I can sneak, kill or talk my way to the item I deserve to have it instead of an some artificial way to deny it (ie it appears in the safe only if you finish some quest beforehand).

It's all about freedom of choice that helps you to define your character.

Okay guys, question for the people who maybe played the game in an more evil way.
On my third playthrough (yes 3rd) I want to be a bad guy. Very bad.

First playthrough I sided with NCR and was a messiah. 2nd one I worked for myself and have been very neutral.

Since I did actually talk to Ceasar and listened to the stuff what the Legion is actually about, I got the feeling that they aren't really the "that bad" guys. I mean, yes , they're brutal but if you talked to Ceasar you'll get what I mean. Some of their stuff makes actually sense in a World like this.

I just don't really know how to go the evil way. In F3 it was quite easy, blowing Megaton to hell and stuff... but with NewVegas I'm a little confused.

Anyone who could give me some advice? I've got the GreatKhans in my mind, but they aren't really evil too. The only assholes in NewVegas seem to be the Fiends. And I don't know if you really can side with them...

Meh... really, any advice would help.

Every 72 hours (Game time.) by default all cells outside of your current one are reset which means creatures will respawn and boxes and the like restocked, goes for merchants as well, some NPC's also respawn even for non-generic variants though lose items will still be gone.

I had the same problem with my 2nd playthrough. I tried to do most of the quests and always chose the worst outcome, but it didn't really bring a lot of bad karma. And some side missions gives you karma no matter how you do them. It seems you just have to steal and kill truckloads of people, but that's just psychopathic rampage.

Imho it's way better than FO3. The world isn't as empty anymore, but still a wasteland, you've got dozens of sidequests, the companions are quite useful now, the minigames are cool (I like Caravan, it's really good. We played it in RL already.) and so on. But still not perfect of course.

Give it a try.

Yeah, despite the bugfest the game is great. More action and quests than FO3. But there is something that makes me mad.....why didn't they put more creepy vaults in the game? This game seriously suffers from a lack of a horror atmosphere. Sad More vaults with more underground levels and terrifying monsters!

Vault 11 is said to be nicely implemented, not much to work with for Vault 21 and Vault 34 works OK and fits into the story about the Vault-Tec experimentation and social tests.
(Vault 21 being full of gamblers, Vault 34 having a full armory and less living space and being over-populated, Vault 11 being divided into a sort of red and blue territory and stuff like Vault 101 which was never meant to open plus the joke though still canon ones such as Vault 69 with only one man and the rest being women and the opposite with one woman and the rest being men.)

The respawning definitely happens. It also seems a bit buggy with regards to saves. I was exploring a hidden deathclaw area and loaded my quicksave, suddenly I found myself surrounded by 15 deathclaws, I had to load a previous save and come back alone because my companions died and I couldn't prevent it even with VATS Sad
Also, I had to mess with console commands to even finish the main questline due to bugs (if you do the president assassination mission for house, then kill him, then try to progress in the NCR questline they ask you to protect the president again but the npcs bug out and you can't progress.)
Hope they fix this shit in future patches.

As per game engine and such limitations and how things are set up Legion are defined as evil and as such you gain 100 karma from killing them (And any other evil marked NPC.) even if they're just one side and NCR the other and both have good and bad points though Legion is a bit more extreme though talks with them reveal other info but overall they're "bad".
