i played through the first one, it was ok. i don't recall being bored with it especially if i played all the way through it. i'll keep pushing along and give it a few more hours of play.

So anyone completed it yet? I heard someone on a Dutch forum that it only took him 8 hours to complete the main quest (including 10 or so side quests).

haha nah not trying to be a debbie downer my man. i'm not knocking it or anything as i really dont like to critique stuff that i couldn't replicate myself. some of the things i've done i think have been pretty lame though, like the play thing where you go into the book. that was just downright stupid, my opinion of course. i think i'm still in the snorefest period you mentioned during the first couple of hours so i probably haven't played far enough. i'll try to get 2 more hours tonight to sink into it and see how it goes.

yes its short if u run thru it but if u play it serious it can take how long time u want to.. i did some missions and then some quests and invest in buildings and alot of other stuff.. but just run thru it is just stupid on a game like this.. and yeah like said before me, the humor.. haha.. john cleese's voice as the helper in the "map section" is funny =) and the guys playing dungeons and dragons hahaha
some good voiceactors in it =) ---> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1495761/
i agree with nightlith 100% brilliant =) but hey.. i dont like all other games like this fallout crap =) everyone has their own taste in games =)

No argument from me on that one. I couldn't follow along with that one at all. I think it was just over my head. I got the Sherlock Holmes reference at the beginning, but beyond that I'm not exactly sure what they were trying to satire.
It does pick up. I was in the same boat as you. I played I think to the first or second gate in the Road to Rule. Put it down to go to bed and had to fight to want to keep playing the next day. I stuck with it and I'm glad that I did. I can't say what the exact turning point was, but once you can start doing actual sidequests for people (Like the mentioned D&D quest) it really takes off.
There's another quest that really nostalgia'd me. Spoiler: | The guy that is trying to insult every person on Albion. You deliver the very last letter for him. Nice to see he actually finished his task! lol |
I'm coming off pretty fanboyish. I'll admit I'm definitely a fan of this series, but I can admit it has it's faults. In my opinion though, it's faults are very easily, and greatly overshadowed by what it does right. The fact that the sanctuary itself is your "start button" menu, with your map, inventory, etc. is a very bold change. I can't believe that it actually works. I mean, aside from the directional pad and some prompts, this game has almost no user interface at all. It's crazy...but damned if it doesn't work!
And while I hate the infinite mana, I also appreciate what it does for combat. Actually combat itself is very satisfying. If only I could figure out how I keep triggering those finishers! Leaping up onto a bandit's shoulder and snapping his neck with my knees. Or throwing my sword deep into his chest then doing a backflip over his fallen corpse to pull my sword back out. Or grabbing a wolf as it leaps at me and gutting it...I mean there's so many unique kill moves but how are they done?!
i can has computar?!

Anyone who breezes through the game in 8 hours clearly isn't experiencing everything it has to offer. After about 20 hours I've only just reached the half way point in the story. If you take your time to check out the side quests (some of which are really very good), upgrade your stats and weapons, buy some houses, find the hidden treasures etc. then it'll easily double if not triple your play time. I guess for some people that extra stuff might be boring, but then this game probably wasn't made for them anyway.

Started playing this after completing Fallout, I like it a lot! It's proven once again that I'm not capable of being a bad guy, I always pick the good side..

Finished it and even though I liked the previous games I found this one to be very short and dull. The only time I enjoyed myself was when I was going through that dark cave with Walter. That segment was quite well done but the rest of the game is meh. They are obviously going to milk it with DLC's too. Motherf******.

You probably have the new kinect dashboard? Then it's not your fault, don't waste any more discs.
Fable 3 has AP25 checks - 5 according to c4eva, and they kick in when you try to run the game. There will be a "LT+" firmware with SSv3 and anti AP25. Discussion about that is here.
But it should work fine on the latest official or older dashboards (9199 and older).

Anyone got this game to work on a jtag console?
FSD turns the console off when I try to start. When I turn the iso to god FSD starts buts shuts the console before the fsdmenu down.

Hm, works fine for me as a god container. After it was released I played it from USB though, just fat32 format a flash drive, extract the .iso there, also remove the $SystemUpdate folder, then just launch the default.xex from the usb drive. Can be done with the FileManager from within FSD for example.
