The PlayStation Phone

Looking almost identical to the mockup we hit you with this summer, the handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch, and you can see in the photos that it's still bearing those familiar PlayStation shoulder buttons. For Sony buffs, you'll be interested to know that there's no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards. |

no but they should've gone mobile when the go was announced. and release it last year.
if you own a psp and a phone... no need for this. if you own a phone and you want a psp you get a psp not another phone.  this would've done so well a year ago instead of the go

Shit specs to be honest, would have been fine a year ago but with duel core and quad (IIRC) coming out for phones, why the fuck would I want to buy something that is months away is going to be underpowered cpu wise compared to the latest android phones
and thats before the sony markup in price.

if they had at least put in dual analog nubs instead of that fuckin touchpad, it might have been a neat idea...and "games designed for the new platform"...oh for fuck's sake, sony should get their heads out of their asses and maybe design enough games for their other 2 gaming platforms so that they actually have acceptable sales figures before giving a 3rd one a try.
btw, who is supposed to be the target group? ppl serious about gaming will just get a psp for obvious reasons, while those wanting to play games on their phones will just get an iphone (or whichever android platform is FOTM)

Why the fuck would ANYONE want to buy that?
Sony will have a hard time coming up with new games for this. Iphone and Android already have a MASSIVE games library for games to play on mobile phones, I doubt Sony's library will come anywhere near that. They couldn't even get the PSP going FFS.
This thing is definitely 2 years late. There is absoluetly no reason to get this, expect it would cost max. $200, but that won't happen. For more money you could just get an Android phone or an Iphone, and have way better hardware and also more software available from the get-go...
