I haven't put a foot wrong in the job since day one.
Then all of a sudden, some customer complains and all of a sudden I'm suspended.

Been through something similar, not aimed at me but a colleague of mine where I used to work. In the employee handbook which was tied to our contract theres was something in there about bringing the company into disrepute through the use of social networking sites and the such. He was basically badmouthing the manager on there so got a formal warning. (deserved imo)
If you have a contract or something similar I would take a very good look at it to see where you stand.

This is a joke, alls it is is some jumped up posh prick.
If i was at a reception and heard a worker say 'fuck', I'd probably just snigger and get on with whatever the fuck it was i was doing.

Anyway had words with the girl who was involved tonight over the phone and she's saying her and another girl has been sacked for not giving evidence against me.
If this is true or not I'll find out tomorrow.
Time to wake up and listen to what these punks have to say for themselves.
One thing is for sure, i will not be leaving off my own accord.
I will tell them I'm unfit for work tomoz or some shit because of this and stay suspended if i can, as I'll be on full pay then.
But if not, fuck them, I WON'T BE WORKING FOR THESE TOFFEE NOSED FUCKING STEINS AGAIN.
I just am trying to think where to take this further?

To be honest, and think lying was the wrong thing to do, at one point I was slightly more successful than I am now and i had a similar thing where someone who was under me (I was a manager) had lost his temper with a customer and the customer complained. When i spoke to the bloke he admitted he lost his cool and apologized to the customer and personally I thought more of him for admitting losing his cool and that was it. We have all lost our temper with people and although we shouldn't do it I would imagine most people have sworn under their breath about something, and anyone who says they have not are full of shit.
honesty would (with anyone I have worked with) have got you a lot less crap, because you lied about it they have to way up if you are a trust worthy employee, had you said "Sorry i amde a mistake" they would have known you ballsed up, but you are honest. |

i kinda quickly read this whole thing but i don't think you stated what you did or didn't say on facebook? if they've sacked 2 of the other employees for not going against you there's probably a good chance that you are next.
if you are pretty much innocent... well i'd have this guys personal information off of his file where he stayed that night and there would retribution. one way or another. if all you honestly did was mutter "fuck" under your breath and all this has come of it then he deserves a little something for being the cause of this.
although you really aren't supposed to curse, at all, for any reason, etc but hell i've done it myself. i did it just now before typing this sentence. a guy came in to get his computer and asked me about AV programs and mentioned mcafee. i called it shit. some people like it when you're frank with them, others dont. i depends on the person but anyway i'm rambling.

Well, just been for disciplinary part 2.
They asked me 3 fucking questions lol, one was different but the other 2 have already been asked.
The one that was different was what did i leave comment wise on my facebook profile.
I told them and said it was all because of the lies that have been said against me and that i was really unhappy with the situation as a whole.
I'm still suspended on full pay till when they next contact me.

If you work in this sort of industry, then standards are an issue, especially when dealing with customers.
If your manager, employer etc: have decided they don't like your general attitude etc: then why fight it?
Your reference will at least say you turned up and worked for a period of time
I'd say just move on, and hopefully you can either reflect on what a bunch of arse holes they are, or learn something from it. You never know you might be the arse, only some time and distance from the whole thing will tell.

They need to look closer to home as i was praised there on a daily basis for the work i done for them.
Yet this pops up n all of a sudden I'm public enemy number one?
I will learn from it don't worry on that but as you say, all i want off them now is a good reference as I've done nothing wrong and it's all unproven.

I've gone through something similar, actually pressed for a work tribunal, since I knew I was in the right, so know how pissed it can make you feel, but it also made me look at myself also.
Sometimes you have to kind of swallow your pride a bit. Make it work for your advantage if you can. Still they owe you a reference so you can move on.

Hotel work is a joke.
They expect so much yet give so little.
I was/still am on minimum wage at £5.83 an hour.
They expected us to totally clean a room in 23 minuets to a standard of over 85% cleanliness.
You had to have you rooms cleaned in 23 minuets or they complain to high heaven.
I'm out of this hotel business now.
Full to the brim of sniddie people, queers who act like women(and walk).
I'm going to get a few part time cleaning jobs next i think.

But there was guy who worked at ours who was a fully qualified electrician amongst other things doing maintenance work on minimum wage.
Now that's just wrong, must of taken the guy years to get the qualifications he had.
