I fucking knew it! I knew I recognized Veronica's voice.
She's voiced by Felicia Day

Changelog should be this: http://store.steampowered.com/news/4527/
Preferences, quicksaves, and autosaves should behave normally. Cloud support currently disabled.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

Awesome game. Just now received my copy and it is much better than Fallout 3. It actually is Fallout 3 properly made and feels more like this is the appropriate third part of the series.

anyone know what I need to do with him? |
I read that there is a bug if you talk to the woman before you get him, the dialog won't show up should you return with him later. Check fallout wiki, there is a possible fix there via the console. |
do you know what that command is? Ive had a look but cant find anything

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/ED-E_My_Love
BugsEdit href= Edit
* If you talk to Old Lady Gibson and go through all the dialog before you have ED-E, it seems you cant complete the quest.
o The bug can be bypassed by using the "wait" feature inside her house.
* Talking about Archimedes II without having ED-E seems to cause problems too, going back after getting him doesn't trigger anything.
o It is possible to resolve issues with missing dialog using the following console command: setstage 001572e8 10
* If you encounter Old Lady Gibson at Helios One and are forced to kill her for hostility, then the quest marker will lead you to her dead body, but nothing can be done. The quest just stays on your Pip-Boy and can not be failed.
o Even if Old Lady Gibson is dead, speaking with other NPC's around the wasteland can still trigger ED-E.
* Handing ED-E over for upgrades (tested with brotherhood path) destroys everything in his inventory.
Unsure how much of this still applies after the 1.1 update, this second patch seems mostly focused on the exe file as I mentioned before but there's probably a few bugs here and there depending on how you handle the various situations and quests and such.
In Jacobstown now trying to find more of those snowglobes and star bottle caps though also doing any quests I come over (Of which there are a rather large number and a even larger number of smaller unmarked stuff.) and just exploring the area, quite a nice contrast to the wasteland setting as well and some interesting characters and background story to the place.

Ah great, that's exactly what I was looking for .
@tonizito: even if their updates need 1-2 refixes/hotfixes, we can't certainly deny that their support is astonishing!

Energy weapons deal lower damage it would seem aside from the top-end models (Repconn HQ plasma gun or the previously discussed "gun" Method2008 asked about for example.) but overcome armor easier and such though ammo while there's fewer types are far more difficult to come across, particularly heavier "red" energy cells or what they are properly called.
(Many energy weapons also have specific roles such as EMP being good against power armor and robots though displacer gloves and shock gauntlets or what they're called goes as melee weapons so it's a bit spread out.)
EDIT: Ah right DPS and DAM value differences as well, forgot about those.

What does the dps matter if the dmg can't penetrate armor? Or is it dps - DT = damage?

I remember frying many super mutants without using VATS from a long distance.

And regarding the balance of different weapon types, I think it was Sawyer who said in an interview he wanted all offensive skills to be viable throughout the game. I think the anti-materiel rifle, a gun, actually packs the most punch out of all rifle weapons in the game.

As I understand, shotguns are pretty much poor against armored targets, since it's multiple small damage shots that hit the target.
Right?
(exempt if having that shotgun surgeon trait)

Well I have used three different energy weapons, Laser pistol, Laser rifle and Laser RCW, all three are a joke after level 10 or so. Even after fixing the RCW fully with repair kits, dmg is only 11. Maybe it's my luck, but energy weapons are pure shit for me. Not viable, not compared to guns which pack a good punch.
I think I'll just proceed with teh story now, maybe there are proper energy weapons in Vegas.

It seems to be range dependent. If you shoot at pretty much point blank, the shotgun is like a bazooka. Heads will explode like melons.
