Looks and plays amazing, better than Sonic 4 for sure (which isn't a total disaster, it's just not as good as it should be to be called a Sonic game)

Hm.. is SEGA preparing to send them a Cease & Desist letter?

Hm.. is SEGA preparing to send them a Cease & Desist letter? | most likely, it would be a pretty gay move
the intelligent move would be to employ said fans and have them work on a new sonic title

But there have been many sonic fan games and SEGA never reacted in all those years... very weird if they feel threatened by this fan game.

I think i remember reading not too long ago that Sega allowed this, but maybe it was some other remake game, but i cant think of any, so it must be this one.

You have to press the numpad enter

There is a difference between "enter" and "return". "enter" refers to the enter-key on the numpad while "return" is the return/enter-key between backspace and left-shift.

depends on how your keyboard is labeled and if you know it as previous knowledge or not. My board is labeled wit both as enter but I know the key as return from past years.
That being said the "return" enter key worked for me.

Apparently not:
Mercury wrote: | For folks having trouble with Input lag, that's Unity's fault. It updates the Input in the Update function, not the FixedUpdate function, so when frames get dropped the Input lags as well. This is a horrible design flaw, and I want to punch some Unity personel for it.
It's particularly troubling for me because my computers specs are embarrassingly bad. If you think you have a hard time playing it, imagine the trouble I have testing. It's a wonder there aren't more bugs floating around.
In short, Unity sucks. |

Its the easiest engine to work with. Very well designed and user friendly, plus it has plenty of options considering its ease of use. Not as much as UDK but offers more in other departments. Perfect for smaller games such as this.
But it does have its quirks. However concerning the input lag:
1. FixedUpdate gets called when physics and movement is supposed to be updated. So it makes sense that input gets updated then. There's not that much point calling it in Update.
2. You can set how often FixedUpdate gets called. Even set it to be called as many times as Update() so it doesn't skip frames.
3. You can always use Mono for registering input.
4. I worked on three medium sized titles, that are much more performance intensive than the sonic game and never had input problems.

I only see about 0.1% of the game because when I press Enter Sonic falls below the level design and dies haha, will try it again later.
