The Skid Rowdies are looking new blood to fill up the ranks.
We're a professional team of dedicated sceners with big mark
under sceners. We believe on the ground idealism of the root
of the real old school scene. We do all this for fun and
nothing else. We don't earn anything on our hobby, as we do
this for the competition and the heart of what got the scene
started in the mid eighties.
If you think you got something to offer, then don't hold back
on contacting us as soon as possible.
twice the fun \/ double the trouble
On with the update release information:
Fallout New Vegas Update 1
- This update fixes quest and scripting issues
Install Notes:
1. Unpack the included rar files.
2. Run Fallout.New.Vegas.Update.1.Hotfix.exe and install
3. Copy the cracked content from SKIDROW directory to your
main installation directory and overwrite.

Says you.. I'm still using my Weathered 10MM Pistol and my Sturdy Caravan Shotgun, thankyouverymuch
agreed handy shotgun and the pistol is reather good on damage or dps cant remember the higher number there but it beats the 9mm std u find around.
The shotgun has pretty poor range (god damn you, developers! STOP following such nonsense! A 12-bore shotgun is LETHAL at 100ft+++ Games/movies show shotguns to be practically useless at anything other than 6ft ) but packs a seriously damaging punch in close quarters. The 10mm pistol is still my primary weapon now, 10hrs into the game.

Maybe they don't want it to be so easy. I just use for close range.
Hulk to superman: Puny man, who wears his underwear on the outside.
Ok, i've installed the Skidrow update / DLC pack. Now I don't want to play with them as it feels like cheating to me, but when I deselect them in the launcher they still show up in the game. Anyone knows how to get rid of them?
1. Does it update the exe?
2. What the hell does it fix/break?
3. What's all this talk about the dlcs? What does the update have to do with em?
4. Do we still need the dll after the update?

1. Yes. apparently without changes tho :S
2. This update fixes quest and scripting issues (taken from Skidrow nfo)
3. DLC's has for some users become broken if I understand uorrently my loaded DLCs works fine with update 1.
4. Yes, it doesnt fix the NPC expression bug although Obsidan is working on it, so wait for that or a updated/new version of the stuttering fix from the mod nexus.

Go to game data folder. Move all DLC related stuff (everything that has pack in name) to some other folder. That's what i did.
EDIT:
Actually, there is more elegant solution.
If you remove files with "nam" extension from data folder (for example TribalPack.nam), DLCs will behave like regular mods (will only get active if you turn them on in launcher).

Can someone figure this out for me? I'm comparing my 360 version to the PC version in terms of figuring out what graphics settings the 360 is using. More or less just out of curiosity. But for some odd reason, the landscape textures look 1000 times better on the 360 version, where as on the PC they are all washed out and not normal mapped at all. I've tried it on all settings and cannot figure out how to make the textures on the PC look the same, or better than the 360.

the 360 and PC use the same monitor. PC uses the DVI input, 360 uses vga. My distance from said monitor is identical. I was playing around with the anisotropy but distant land still looks washed out. It's just odd.
Fallout: New Vegas developer, Obsidian says it's in "really good spirits" after a "frightening" amount of reviews praised its RPG this week.
Speaking to CVG, senior designer Chris Avellone said the studio's really happy with the reception so far from press and fans, and said that despite issues some users are experiencing it's found the public is overall satisfied.
"Everyone's pretty happy about the reception for Fallout, everyone's in really good spirits," he said.
"We're really surprised by the sheer amount of reviews that came out on day one. I do not know what magical spells Bethesda was casting into the world but the amount of press sites that had our reviews up so quickly and so thoroughly was actually more frightening than anything else.
"We're all very happy with the scores that we got."
Avellone told us "we knew that we'd made a good game" and to see that validated by the press was "good".
"I realise that people are experiencing issues but at the same time it seems like the content that we've developed for the game... people feel that it's very much like Fallout and the aspects of Fallout 3 that they enjoyed, plus there's a lot of Fallout 1 and 2 stuff that they appreciate," he said.
