Yeah giant Radscorpions are incredibly durable. I use a unique plasma rifle I found in some building but if there's more than one they kill me in 2 hits. Try using energy based weapons.

And just wait till you get to Deathclaws. They're not like in Fallout 3.. Laughing

Understatement of the year Very Happy I ran into a bunch of them in the Quarry.. a Young and two Adults, even the YOUNG one soaks up all the damage I could pump into him and ripped me apart in a few hits. Managed to kill him, finally, and one of the adults killed me in TWO hits. Damn these things are lethal now Very Happy

I found a combo of the incinerator and shotgun sorts any radscorps out.. what i dislike are those cat things im in a cave near the ranger station well right next to it almost and they fucking maul me to bits.. well the large pack ones do.

p.s funny how the rangers at the desk were typing with clickity key sounds and there was no terminal infront of them lol just a empty desk Very Happy

some mods I understand, but I always play my first playthrough as the developer intended, its a true impression of what they were aiming for.

Bah. Stupid karma Sad I'm a kleptomaniac, I steal everything that isn't bolted down, so now - despite the fact that I'm a fucking SAINT when it comes to helping people and choosing the "morally right" choice - I'm considered "Evil" with a horrid karma appearance.

It pops up in you inventory once you load the game, you get a message too

Any idea to add bobbing to the player walk? I realy hate this, not only you are ridiculously fast(I know the world is somewhat big, but come on!) but you also float Neutral

whats that fuzzy effect called ? its most visible on distant grass and power lines, i had it turned off in fo3 but forgot how...

Indeed the range which it blurs is too low, but it's a good idea since the game does not look good, gotta fix it with BLUR! Sad

that dll file is a fucking godsend, totally fixes all FPS problems. Game feels slick now, much more enjoyable.

so what does it do? anyone care to enlighten me of the technical aspects of why one dll file can treble your performance?

Guess I have to wait installing this than, I'm close to encumbered with currently no stash place.

Btw, do items stay at a certain place when you put em there, like in a trashbin or even on the ground in some place. ?

Luckily my last save was just outside a store, but now I can't find any new stuff, just no room Very Happy Well could always sell grenade launcher as I won't use it anyway, but it's brad spanking new!

Didn't want the DLC stuff, but no shortage of caps after them. Wonder if I enable them in datafile will they appear again Razz Oh and Trudy didn't get fixed with the patch, kinda hoped it would.

Still there, at least for non humans, didn't try killing anything else.

Various images again, took ages to clear the surrounding area and actual complex and that "guy" was a pain to deal with for a variety of reasons and in the end all I got was a "pistol". Very Happy
(And some vault security armor at DT 16 with the helmet at DT13, combat armor which I used earlier had DT15 / DT3 for armor and helmet, some nearly broken heavier guns and assault rifles as well but repair costs will be quite large.)


Can't be used to fight with as such (6 - 8 damage at best at high skill if I were to guess.) but works wonders on robots, though I've seen like one so far outside of Victor and that was a NCR Robobrain which was neutral.

iFPSClamp=XX is a funny one.
I cannot maintain 60fps at all times - dialogs tend to half the framerate and some random sections drop it to about 40 so this makes things run in slow motion when the framerate does not meet the expected one set by that command.
When I set it to 30, the game ran smooth but TOO FAST because I'm still around 60fps. It can run even better than it needs to, but at default settings it stutters and runs like shit. I won't set it to low just to keep 60fps damn it Sad

Is there a fpslimit command to stick it to 30 along with 30fps clamping or any other custom fps lock? I'd rather play it smooth with 30 than watch it choke and stutter half the time.
If your machine can handle framerate equal to the refresh rate then you're all good because vsync will cap the framerate and not let it go over so it won't run too fast, and on the other side it won't go slow motion on you because you can maintain 60.

It would be nice to lock the framerate and clamping to a lower value manually for those who cannot maintain 60 but say at least 30 at all times...dreams...

Oh and that older d3d9 dll? Awesome! Smile
edit: apparently a thing called fps limiter (v0.2) worked for fallout 3...i'll check that out Razz
edit2: yes, it works, but only with that older d3d dll, has no effect without it.
