I'm having an odd infamy glitch with Caesar's Legion, myself. I'm at Hated status, but Legion soldiers aren't hostile to me. Might be related to one time a bunch of assassins came and told me I was marked for death before going hostile on me. They killed me the first time, so I reloaded and started the battle before anyone could speak. That might've gltiched things. Who knows.

Yeah I like that stuff as well. Two others I've seen:
Spoiler: | A guy in Novac is hiding from the Bishop family from New Reno. Also in Novac you can meet the pilot of the crashed vertibird in Klamath. |

You never get stat points (assuming you meant the SPECIAL attributes like Strength) during level-up; it's one perk per two levels and 10-15 (depending on your INT) skill points every level.

There are mods that do change it so it is one perk per level, there is a LOT of perks so you still won't get anywhere near all but the higher-level ones are pretty powerful so depending on what you use it can get a little unbalanced.

There is a perk that gives you stat points (10 ranks) though.

Love how many side quests the game has. I started on one and just escalated into more and more.

Yea the exploration aspect is the best thing this game has to offer. I was going to follow the main quest line for a while but suddenly encountered a pack of hungry deathclaws that chased me into the Hidden Valley and i stumbled upon a fucking Brotherhood of Steel bunker with a whole side storyline. Was pretty excited.

I gotta say the d3d dll didn't really do anything for me, nor did telling it to run on multiple cores.

About power armor.
Spoiler: | Who trains you? I did all the main quests in that line. Think the only one I haven't done is finding the missing gun for that chick at the armory. |

Spoiler: | Well I chose to evict the old overseer, and then I had the option to ask that I wanted to be a member of the Brotherhood, got a quest to kill the Van Graafs, did so, and then I got the training for the Power Armor from the Overseer. |

I don't know folks, I consider myself a fan of fo1&2, and even though this is made in part by the same people/studio, I am really bored. Mostly with the gameplay though. Dialogs are OK, some are quite funny, quests are OK too, but I am simply not hooked. The world seems ... dead to me. I am not immersed at all. All that Obsidian creativity I love in their previous 3 games just ... seems to lose focus in this open world, and this only amplifies my frustration with the engine, which is way outdated by now, if you ask me. It's still loads better than FO3, but most animations just make me laugh ... or cry.

did you feel immersed in the world of fo3, or did you feel the same way about that game?

Am i the only who can't force himself to even d/l and try the game? I played fallout 3 but it felt really crappy, so i'm not even touching New Vegas.

Does anyone know what this D3D9.dll is actually doing? Anyone knows why it makes the game run smooth?

juss a quick question - and im not judging, but did you finish fallout 3, or just quit after a couple hours because the gameplay was shitty and the story/characters were poor?

the real big problem with Fallout 3 is its ending: it would be cool to have a neverending game or story, like MMORPG...I mean, discover your place, shoot at ennemies, finish quests and level up, it's pure fun !!!

I wonder how New Vegas's ending is handled...Obsidian have said that it's not open but there isn't any cutscene files other than the intro so everything should be handled in the engine.
But New Vegas is said to have 16 different endings so lets see how everything pans out.
