Is there any difference between the PC and 360 versions graphic-wise? It looks exactly like F3 on the 360 and I'm experiencing screen freezes quite often. The loading times are a nightmare.

Yes and no.

"toggleEmotions" helped me out a great deal to counter the NPC lag stuff though. Plus, it doesn't really change anything noticeable visually.

It helps with the mouse acceleration, not sure for performance

If I tweak the fallout config file and run the game it reverts back to read only and won't save the changes...anyone know a way around that? XP Home

*nevermind, just had to make it read only again before starting to save changes*

"Normal" seems too easy, I'd call it "very easy" mode myself. Clearing out Primm was piss easy really. I'll try hard now.

Go with Very Hard, imo. Fun challenge.

fun my ass 50 bullets in a cockroach and still living Smile

Hm...I'm on normal and apparently i went into the wrong direction...since it's hard as hell. I went to the quarry, tried to clear out the mine filled with deathclaws...Died about 10 times, decided to come back when i'm a higher level... a much higher level.

Hmm so far game runs with no performance issues as far as i can tell,, wether trying thread changes in ini, the game still does not stress my cpu, nor my card right now.. but no slowdowns either so not complaining..

like the gun animations on reloading etc seem nice, will play it later more for sure.. DLC,s installed and worked all fine.

Performance is fine here too, for now. Averaging in the high 30s (which is still lame, but at least no stuttering) and peaking in the 90s, never dropping below 34. Seems fine to me though obviously I'd prefer a little bit smoother ^_^

I *really* hope we get an updated/compatible version of the DaRNified UI though, this standard UI is fucking hideous. I had hoped Obsidian would learn from Bethesda's mistake, but I guess not. Console UI ahoy! Rolling Eyes

Some of the new equipment content is pretty nice, interesting how they re-implemented and re-used nearly everything from Fallout 3 and it's DLC's as well. Smile

(Found some really interesting things further out in the world map, said map isn't all that big but very detailed and full of stuff to discover.)

Didn't really care for FO3, could never get into it.

However, THIS game....THIS game is GOTY. The atmosphere is remarkable and the gameplay is GREAT!

Only thing I don't like is that it feels like I'm skating around, especially when running forward. Its like a tiny lag where my player barely moves in the last direction I pressed.....not a hardware lag as I am not using a wireless keyboard.

GREAT fucking game!

something is bugged with perception
I have base perception 5
I have the four eyes perk with reading glasses +1 for glasses +2 for the item
and I have a hat with +1
total should be 9, but it's showing me only 7.

what's up with that?

That just makes it TOO fast Sad He has a x6 and a x8 ESP, I wish he had a x3 as that would be the perfect balance of speed and, well, fun. x6 feels like I'm sprinting everywhere.

Take the glasses off and see if there is any difference. Maybe you have wrong type of glasses ?

yeah it's broken
4 without (-1 for the perk)
6 with (should be Cool
unless it includes the +1? does everyone else get +2 perception for wearing glasses?

but even if it is including the +1, it still didn't reset it to 5 first, which at the least should be 7 not 6.

what's the safety of chests here? if I leave stuff is it going to stick around. I'm slightly over encumbered and want to go dump stuff via fast travel, but I wanted to stick a couple things in a chest first

After 8 hours and same amount of levels, New Vegas feels like what FO3 should have been. Really, really great from what I've seen so far. The world for one feels much more alive, what with the distant gunfire sounds and

I'm only playing on normal difficulty, and yet I'm still very vulnerable when it comes to harder enemies. In FO3 you could kill super mutants at level 2 so this is a very welcome change.

this mod is essential. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34723
Also I concur with inz, as stated in my original post on page 36, this game is great and it's what Fallout 3 should've been.
Have Obsidian do all future Fallout games and you can publish them Bethesda, just don't make them yourself.
Also if it escaped peoples attention Garden of Eden Creation Kit has been found, all hail the great wanderer MCA.

That's exactly the same performance I got in Windows 7. And I would be more or less fine with that, if I hadn't seen it running 60+ fps at all times in Windows XP.

So for now I'll stick with XP (ewwwwww). Sad

Working for me, but since it is D3D9.dll, it won't use the DX10-Apis?
