Is there any software that would allow me to open ports without access/pass for a router?

Ta.

I'm pretty sure the onyl way to open ports to a router is to access the router itself, more than likely a security thing. Unless you can find a 3rd part firmware that has a feature to access from software, ask Leo about that.

Not really, otherwise what's the point? Laughing Any malware would just open its ports and yay.

The only thing you can attempt is UPnP if it is not disabled in the router software.

If you're in a small location they probably don't have something like a large switch or a firebox keeping everything all locked down. Could just hit the factory reset button on the router, but that would likely not go un-noticed.

Besides this, if you're using UPNPC, ensure you are changing "80" in that example to what you're wanting the port to be open..

I don't have alot of experience with UPNPC, but may try changing the IP in the command to the routers local IP, worth a shot anyway

that wont reset the router

forget about it if you cant access it. And even if you could - not only the user/pass would be reset, everything would be on factory defaults. you most likely won`t even have internet anymore.

Had some problems with MW2, setting up a rule for the port the game uses for hosting (I think). Managed to get it working using Win 7 alone.

Open My Computer, and go to Network. There your router should appear (at least mine did). Right click it, select properties and in the tab that pops up ("General") click "Settings..."
In the new window click "Add...". Now enter your IP, external and internal ports and the protocol type.

That did the trick for me.

you can ask the admin or whatever of the torrent site to not remove you, explain your situation

Well when I reseted my router (you know, with a toothpick in the little hole near the ethernet ports) it reseted my pass to a default one that's written on the router :\

And cutting the power won't do the trick...

Do you even know, which ports are open?!
Maybe it`s not just the ports, but a packet filter.

First, find the open ports. Then try setting up your torrent client to one of the open ports.
There have to be open ports, no?
