Which does put a small wall up between the X360 DLC and the PC DLC delivery system. So we don't get that on PC? :/

Install just finished. bye.

That's exactly what i did. It shows up as available in the shop part of steam. But when i got to the "My games" tab there is no "Install" button.

The game shows in your game list without the VPN? If not something is wrong.

Should be as simple as double clicking the game in the list then. Hope you sort that out anyway.

The fuck...
my game unlocked, it says it was downloaded..but the "pre-load" button is still there and it won't let it start.

so..even though it downloaded the unlock dependent on the fact that my steam account is a Canadian account, when I view the store page from within Steam it directs me to the Korean store page which shows 2 days and 17 hours until unlock. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Was done earlier, linked to on the previous page.

Started playing after copying over the texture replacers and other misc data plus configuring the INI a bit more, it's Fallout so not much to say but I like it so far.

It's really weird because i did the same thing with Dragon Age. Pre-ordered normally - found out that the russian publisher was going to delay the game - fired up the same VPN i'm using now - and the install button appeared after i restarted steam Sad

Steam://install/22380

(And then a Steam_appid.txt file in the game folder with 22380 in it, if Steam won't work you can then launch the game exe directly assuming the reg info from installscript.vdf is complete.)

Xander Root and Broc Flower

Veterans of Fallout will know these Very Happy
So far it's a lot more well written and well crafted world than the game that was supposed to be Fallout 3 by Bethesda, ie this games predecessor, but I'd bet good money that this is the true follow up to Fallout 2.
It certainly feels a lot more like a Fallout game so far, eventhough I'm not that far in. The world is really well done, good attention to detail, a lot of good dialogue, no nonsensical crap.
Loving it so far, and if you know my opinion about games in general and are a fan of 'older' games this should be seen as a positive sign.
Also I haven't slept in oh 24 hrs now to be able to play this upon release, rock on.

Interesting. I noticed how both iNumHWThreads and bUseThreadedAI default to the values that helped resolve the freezing issues in the previous game. Wasn't this one supposed to be optimized for multi-core CPUs (I reckon these tweaks limited the game to two cores, I may be wrong though).

JBeckman, thanks but i've already tried that - nothing happens when i use the manual command.
My guess is that there are diffenrent versions of the game now - and since i purchased say a russian version - it won't unlock until the 22 even though i'm techically in the us. Seems like should have purchased the game using VPN.

Kyorisu, that's the one i'm using Smile

That in the spoiler is my customized ini, default one lacks the iNumHWThread value and defaults to not use threading much at all, iNumHW is usually left at 2 even internally (exe code.) but I use it for compatibility reasons, unsure if Vegas handles things better.

Even with the decrypted files from Jbeckman's rar, and hot spot shield, I can't play. It just pops up saying "When it's released you'll be able to play"
and mine is a Canadian version of the game.

ip services are correctly locating me to in the US as well, they're getting a location somewhere else.

I wasn't aware steam connected over hotspot or anything else not http for that matter. Use a real VPN.
