I wonder why they are not making a Mac version. They already have a Linux version, and with Steam for Mac, it seems almost illogical why not make it.

Unigine... oh dear. So is this going to require a 5970 or pair of GTX480s in order to play properly?

Unigine supports Windows, Linux and PS3 only. That's why they haven't announced OS X and 360 ports.

http://unigine.com/features/

Supported hardware platforms:
* IBM PC x86 32/64 bit
* PlayStation 3

Supported operating systems:
* MS Windows XP / Vista / Windows7
* Linux 2.6

If you support Linux, you support Mac. It is really almost as trivial as recompiling. Even x86/x86-64 CPU optimizations in assembly would work if there are any. The only difference that might potentially require dev attention is IO, and that is the easiest thing thing to overcome.

not a surprise, somehow.

anyway, back to the topic of the game, if you don't mind?

tried it out first 4-5 missions, hated it, fucking RTS that doesn't let you build a base, or even build units (they're all built automatically from what i can tell, can't be bothered to suffer through anymore of this game) on your own and everytime you give ANY unit an order the game keeps trying to put you into some "cinematic" shitty chase camera view.
