If it leaked early for consoles, it's probably leaked for PC as well ;D

What? Games never leak early for consoles! Only on the devils machine, the PC.

Seriously though I wouldn't keep my hopes up for an early leak.

If you plan on exploring the "Fallout: New Vegas" strip legally on your PC and don't have a Steam account, you'd better make some changes in your life by the time the game arrives this November. Bethesda has confirmed that PC copies will need to be activated via Steam, thereby utilizing the DRM-related protective measures come with such a move.

What's the US pre order price on steam for this? Because I am not going to buy the german version of this. Not gonna happen.

Console warez scene > PC warez scene, sad but true... What was the last big game leaked earlier on PC than on console? Yep, I don't remember either Smile

If your only metric is which side gets releases first, then sure... But whereas cracking PC releases actually takes some skill, you can rip console games with the push of a button (funny how that reflects the console & PC as a whole... Cool Face).

CreditsWacky.txt
(Haha.)
 Spoiler:

EDIT: FNVIntro.bik is the only video file (Quite well done as well.) rest must be done in-game then.
(There's also a update.esp at 11KB, naming is "Fallout" so "FalloutNV.esm" "Fallout - Meshes.bsa" and so on.)

Heh Fallout (and FO2 too I think?) had the alternate credits too. You'd access them by holding down shift and clicking the Credits... Wonder if it'll be the same for PC version of NV. Laughing

From watching that stream it seems like the weapons sound much better than they did in FO3.

hey a quick question.. does this game take place in a similar area as fo3, or is it somewhere massively different.

i ask because im wondering if we'll basically be seeing the same kinds of enemies again, or if it'll be mostly new things to kill (ie raiders look different, different kinds of mutants etc..)

Mojave Desert, other side of the "American Wasteland" or what it was referred to as in the games. Smile
(Similar enemy types though but probably quite a few new ones and modified ones like the super mutants now having Nightkin back and the like.)

Not to mention we'll most likely see MMM For New Vegas as well.

And sounds were infinitely better in Fallout 3 with some mods(compared to vanilla FO3 that is, dunno about New Vegas yet). Really sounded like weapons had some power in them last time I played with it modded.

Currently playing.
Looking good so far, similar feel to F3.
Had my first chuckle already, hope the game is riddled with humor.

I know I should wait for the pc release, shitty FPSing on the console urgh.

you mean like this: http://i403.photobucket.com/albums/pp112/erocker414/MailManGF.jpg (yup its from FO NV Wink )

overall i think their design kind of sucks, too much on the comical side, i prefer darker stuff Smile Comic stuff is so easy to get away with.. I really dislike the robo-cops (hehe) with a funny cartoon cop face on their monitor.. really immersion breaking, probably the first thing i remove from the game with a mod.. They've never been that good with design imo, but it'll probably turn out decent.

That's a unique super mutant character, most aren't like that. There were something like 6-8 different supermutant types listed by that one guy on gamefaqs board before he got banned and the thread deleted. No behemoths either, thankfully.

Can't choose Hardcore mode, it's greyed out. I guess one has to finish the game to unlock it, which IS FUCKING RETARDED OBSIDIAN!!!

So what does Bethesda have to do with that?

Anyway, if that is the case just wait for PC since it's bound to be unlocked day 1.

You're supposed to be able to only go from Hardcore to Normal and not Normal to Hardcore? Was some talk about it in some interview.

"Hardcore Mode can be turned on or off at any time, although if you want the Hardcore trophy, you have to turn it on when initially prompted and leave it that way all the way to the end of the game,"

Also in a vid the prompt thingy was shown and it looked to be quite early in the game so i suppose it's at the end of the tutorial or something.

As far as I know, you can go hardcore=>normal but not vice versa. So if you start the game in hardcore mode, you can change to normal at any time, but you can't ever go back to hardcore after that (apart from loading an earlier save).
