Not to mention the modding scene is ALWAYS active on FO3. Every time I check the Nexus, there's always something new and impressive.

Strange after i finished fallout 3 story i just didn't really want to dive back into the game and i know i missed a few places. Game was good i just didn't really feel like replaying it again.

You really missed out, the main story was the weakest part of FO3, imho.

I remember reading about the speed runs that the devs do (once the game goes gold, shortly before launch) last time around. They said it took like 75 minutes to complete the main story. Not that this is a bad thing as they were doing a speed run. It goes to show how much they focused on the side quests as I have almost 80 hours in normal gameplay, exploring, looting, killing, and sexing.

I must be in the minority but there is absolutely nothing appealing about video game "sexing"

I don't find it very fun either, just funny that they included it. Although, I am looking forward to robot sex in New Vegas...Hard, metal, unemotional, non-dextrous sex is the best. Kind of like when I make sweet, sweet love to my rig. But hopefully less electrocution...

Wandering the wasteland and thinking that you've found every location, only to find another one. That's my favorite part, and since they say that New Vegas is more densely populated (which makes perfect sense as there is clean water at Lake Mead, in the game), I'm looking very forward to exploration this time around...
Also, the sheer amount of side quests was awesome in FO3. Then with the DLCs, there was even more replayability. Not to mention that you could play through as a bad guy, then a good guy (which is no new thing, but still good for replayability). I just hope that they have a higher level cap.

I think that the Graphics and Animation definitely look better than in FO3, but I'm half blind...

didn't they say the level cap would be the same as F3? Max level 30..

You either get killap unofficial patch, for fixed vanilla experience (I would get this for 1st playthrough), or killap restoration mod, for restored/redone content.

should i install the official patch first? because the restoration project notes say to install a clean humongous install, but no mention of an official patch?

I think both unofficial patch and restoration mod include everything from official patch.
In fact, having official patch already is a problem, since it's packed differently, and tends to overwrite modded content.

the patch didn't work for me because of 64 bit so i extracted the file manually, there's only an exe in there so there doesn't seem to be a problem with overwriting modded content?
and is there a way around having to switch to 16 bit every time?

Don't clutter the thread with stuff inapplicable to New Vegas. Move your chatter over to the corresponding Fallout threads.

I think it's hilarious that with all the pc piracy complaints you always hear, the earliest leaks are always the console versions.
I've already pre ordered it for pc anyway so fuck it. What does suck is that i gotta wait for the 22nd.

I will always be this wa due to shipping of retail boxes. I worked at a GameStop briefly and Know for a fack that games that had a release date for a tuesday, we had in store the prevous Thusday. I only takes 1 person to grab a copy and rip it and post it.. My Manager at the time would take a copy home on the thursday and make copies for his Friends.
