as show the 360 version is the only version that has 5fps dips , people saying they 360 "Burn" doesn't have any of those slow downs are lying

He was telling the truth. Both versions of the game, PS3 and 360, have significant framerate drops. During gameplay it's not unknown for BOTH versions to dip down to 15fps, with the average actually being in the v.low 20s range.

I agree the game had low fps overall, but nothing too severe and nothing i certainly couldn't handle.

I have seen sporadic slowdowns, but 5 fps is ludicrous, it would be a fucking slideshow at that speed, can't say I've seen such a slowdown. Overall the game, imho, runso good. Wierdly enough, the cutscenes are the parts that look "slower" to me, probably they're encoded at 23/25 fps...

Im still playing and loving every bit of it..game is so EPIC,Im now into Vampire teritory on chapter VI..

And yes,I can see occasional frame drops mostly when moving around from one map to another but when action starts I somehow can't notice that..and game is more than playable even with low fps,I usualy have eye for this and in some games that bothers me but here...it's strange it doesn't.

Excellent news!! Loving this game! I am on Chapter VI and it's a real pleasant surprise. I mean all the reviews are good but I really didn't think this game would be good when I first heard about it. I have heard this many times.......Epic......and I agree, it really is a very positively long, beautiful, well controlled epic game! Part 2 is a no brainer as I am sure this is selling very well. As far as slowdown, I haven't noticed any. Back to playing Smile

How do you beat the first boss ?. (the one in the graveyard behind the church type place), I have no problem getting his energy down zero but when it says use the RT nothing happens after that.

The game itself is excellent (trying to find the abbot) but the writing can be very bad, in terms of the scrolls you find from dead knights and to a lesser extent, the narrations in between chapters. It is just very cheesy and you feel like you are reading tips from 12 year old forum members rather than the last words of a dying knight trying to vanquish evil.

WOOHOO!! I just beat this game and it was EPIC!!! What a fantastic game and an even more fantastic ending. So far, this is my GOTY! Talk about having to earn it! When I beat the final boss I was like exhausted from close to 20 hours of gaming. Thank the amino acid pools of life that there is a sequel already in the works! I will prepurchase as soon as they let me! The only thing I didn't like about the whole experience was how you had to start the non-shadow magic dash ability by double moving the L stick in the direction you have to go. I had trouble doing it through out the whole game. Yes, that is my only gripe or frustrating moment otherwise it was a perfect experience. Nice job guys, you made a winner!

No problem, that took me a while to figure out. I had to read through all my abilities because it was not told to you what to do. There are other moments like this through out the game where the game just expects you to know. Shadow Magic Daggers was the other one that threw a monkey wrench into my......well-oiled-machine-which-is-me-making-this-game-my-bitch! Smile

Carmilla was hawt. I ejaculated bloody semen before that custscene was over Rolling Eyes

I dunno if its the writing or maybe Patrick Stewart's delivery... ah well. Hit and miss i suppose. A couple more chapters left, still loving it, wish there were more cutscenes though, and perhaps some more character development with Gabriel.. kind of hard to care about him if all you get is a few words talking about him by Patrick Stewart.

It is truly an epic game! A lot of great locations, enemies and bosses. The theme is really good at this time of the year as well. There are many moves you can pull off with either Light or Shadow magic. 4 side weapons as well that can be used with either Light or Shadow magic. It's just a very long game in a good way. I will definitely be going through this one again. Not to mention that they are now working on the sequel FTW!!!

why people here keep on praising this game ? It's good, but there is just too many flaws for a AAA title in my opinion:

- horrible camera fixed angles
- nothing original in the gameplay department (combat mechanics work great but : sames as god of war... boss fight taken from shadows of colossus, climbing and platforming taken from POP and assasins creed... )
- unrewarding loot ( i would have loved something different than piece of stones and ammo upgrade in my chasing... and of course the scrolls that probably 90% of people do not read )
-repetitive ennemies ( you keep on seeing the same ennemy throughout the game )
- puzzles with the use of mirrors that are just boring
- quick time events... pressing button with a good timing is just not fun and when you fail them you just don't want to do it again. I wonder why developpers still put this in their game

And on a personal note, the use of the Castlevania liscence was a bad idea, I keep on remembering the fun i had with symphony of the night and how a simple 2d scroller was so much more fun and rewarding compare to this.

That said, the game is still a good piece of entertainment worth playing. I just wish it was less superficial, more polished and more like a castlevania.

The puzzles are way to easy, and yeah the camera.
but for me its at least 8,5/10. I mean, the atmosphere and the artwork are epic. Cool monsters, lots of info. Good enough story. Cool bossfights. Love it

Yes, QTE I could be without.

I do not want to see buttons on the screen. Hide that shit.
