These were popular here too, mostly in late 90's. They had a different name though, but I can't remember it. It seems so boring to me now...

Definitely remember those... there were also another hyped thing, not hockey cards.. um, it was like plastic figures with different shapes that you put on each edge of a table, and the objective was to knock the other guy's plastic figure by sliding one of your plastic things across the table.

I still got mine, I went on an epic 8-Ball hunt, got a whole tube full of them and slammers 
I even got an bronze metal slammer of OJ Simpson in jail somewhere

Its one of the few trends I actually liked, because the game itself was petty fun and was more skill than luck. Exanging pokemon/baseball cards are fucking meaning and boringless imo...

I never got what the "game" was about with these pogs... I had a bunchload of them as well, but the game with just "slamming" on them always seemed kinda stupid to me... There should have been something else that you could do with them...
