Pogs where really popular in Norway for... wow 11 years ago. The reason I made this thread is because I found a shoebox full of them when I tried to make space for something else. Nah... I don't do it that often Laughing

Might not be childhood memories for people born before 85-86 tho

These were popular here too, mostly in late 90's. They had a different name though, but I can't remember it. It seems so boring to me now...

Definitely remember those... there were also another hyped thing, not hockey cards.. um, it was like plastic figures with different shapes that you put on each edge of a table, and the objective was to knock the other guy's plastic figure by sliding one of your plastic things across the table.

Always thought those were pretty lame, personally. Not that they were particularly popular in these parts.

Its one of the few trends I actually liked, because the game itself was petty fun and was more skill than luck. Exanging pokemon/baseball cards are fucking meaning and boringless imo...

Marbles, and something that in sweden was known as "ess" (I think the name might've been the plural form of the letter s). You chained them together and whatnot..

I never got what the "game" was about with these pogs... I had a bunchload of them as well, but the game with just "slamming" on them always seemed kinda stupid to me... There should have been something else that you could do with them...

ess = manicklar, hårdisar etc.. plastic S'es etc. that you could chain together. The game was to push your S over the opponents S. If you got his S on top of his you won his/hers. Sort of like marbles.
