Does anyone here actually know what the extent of DEP does eh? Its not so much a concern with todays anti virus tools but relating to your expensive hardware you own you would NOT be turning DEP off back in the day...
Its food for thought, and you better hope no malicious little tyke from days past does his dirty on you (prob extremely low concern but if there is always a chance why risk it for a game)

I've tried fucking everything - nothing seems to help the stuttering / frame-drops. Doesn't matter if the graphics are at highest or lowest settings. Most noticeable during firefights, but also when I move forward. It seems like the game loading on the fly fucks the framerate (new enemies spawning in, terrain loading) etc.
Kind of hoping its due to the halfassed crack, but nobody else seems to be having this issue so I think it's just down to poor optimization/not playing nice with some hardware.
Out of curiosity, what are your specs?

I never had a single problem with DEP enabled. And I won't be disabling it just for a presumably shitty game with a 3-4-hour long singleplayer campaign. Won't definitely bug me if I wait a day or two for a scene crack.

omfg its sorcery wtf lol, this place is doom ur right i had no intention of but i had to put some point in about DEP, could do some pretty nasty shit in the day with that off, and was just making a thread perusal sacrifice for the sake of all humpers following instructions in a "nfo" to "turn off your DEP" DerrRRRpppPp.

What OS and are you on 32 or 64 bit?
My specs - I7-930 @ 3.5Ghz, 2xGTX 460, 6 Gigs, Win7 x64.
Even sitting at the main menu, my FPS will top out at 62, then drop to 30ish when the scene changes for a few seconds, then shoot right back up. My sound also cuts out momentarily throughout the game. It's fucking strange.
Game seems to be utilizing 4 threads (2 cores), and doesn't touch the other 2.
Did you have to disable DEP for the current crack to work for you? The reason I ask is - I didn't have to mess with it - and I'm thinking maybe the copy protection/crack is going apeshit in the background and causing all of these issues.
It may also be the PhysX drivers (I'm on 9.10 but the redist on the disk is 9.08 ), or possibly graphics drivers. I haven't tried rolling back either of them.
Also, you can manually fuck with your settings under [System] in the game's Engine.ini located in MyDocs/EA Games/Medal of Honor....
Haven't had any luck there either though.

I am on Windows 7, 64-bit.
I did disabled DEP, because else I get the ''Medal of Honor has stopped working'' error.
Could be the Physx drivers yes, Haven't checked on what version I am.

I don't think it's the crack, it's more likely to be the unreal engine and it's Texture streaming crap...Look at past games that were powered by this engine, Singularity doesn't lag, but graphics get's messed up to look like something from 98, Alpha Protocol doesn't lag either, but has textures and enemies pop up right before your eyes, and Gears of War was unplayable on my old Radeon card because of lag caused by streaming shit.
In fact, the only game on this engine that didn't have issues was Mass Effect 2 (for me)

I despise this fucking console engine with a passion.
Am I correct in assuming the MP component of MOH runs on DICE's Frostbyte engine? Because MP was silky smooth with absolutely no hiccups whatsoever (at least in the beta).
And the sound cutting out issue for me makes me think that and my frame-rate hiccups are related (along with the fact that no graphics tweaking has any effect on my framerate at all, hence not a GPU issue).

You are right. The MP part is totally seperate and is running on the engine made by DICE.
Don't know about sound problems since I don't have them.

So MP is frostbite (?) engine and SP is Unreal 3 engine? Doesn't make sense to me at all.

Yeah the beta ran pretty damn fine, but the sp is completely different .
Pretty similar to bad company 2, the sp ran fine but the mp was awful .

Is there a possibility for this crack to cause performance issues during firefights ?

VirusTotal shows a 28% hit-rate. However, hits seem to indicate the exe-encryption used by some trojans, not an actual trojan found.

No issues with the crack here. Scanned it with MSE and nothing shows up (gotta love MSE's ultra low "false positive" rate ^_^) and DEP is disabled, as always.
-edit-
However, I am getting the same thing you guys have mentioned; stuttering and overall shitty performance. It looks ugly as sin too, definitely NOT the best implementation of UE3 that I've ever seen. Same god-awful mouse acceleration crap that UE3 is infamous for.... if you're running full 62fps, the mouse feels great, but when you drop below that it becomes erratic and super fast/super slow all over the place.
