Looks like Jowood pulled a Gothic3 on Arcania again. While I know they had financial problems its just typical of them. They had to speed up the devloping process in order to make quick money, which is why this is again a half baked game. Cut out elemental Gothic RPG elements (npc interaction, crafting, alchemy etc.) and cut out content etc. and put in invisible barriers and tunnel levels for easier playthrough and less work on the world interaction etc. and leave just enough to have a playable game that looks good but is empty inside. Gothic is dead and Arcania never lived.

Gothic is not dead, it's just called Risen now ...

Well, I was bored as shit after entering that harbor town in Risen. Swamp section was great though. Guess it's matter of personal taste.

Same thing here, everything else up until that works perfect. I like the game so far..

AF I think was selectable (But I force 16x as usual.), EXE can be renamed so AA should be doable that name though the only other game with this version of Vision-7 (The game engine.) is Settlers 7 (Vegetation shaders and certain stuff like rock detailing is very familiar to how it looks in Settlers 7 actually.) though the generic stuff like Oblivion.exe or Crysis.exe or FarCry2.exe for Crossfire/SLI performance and AA will probably work just as well for MSAA or SSAA with or without extra techniques or filters, I've not tried it though but nothing should hinder it.
There are a number of sidequests of course but they usually take part in the region you are in so they're rather short and I haven't found all that many of them, some tie in to the main story quest as well though so the quest log fills up rather quickly.
EDIT: In several EU regions TW2 will be released towards the end of October, multi-language Royal edition is amongst these, US and other EU regions have the release scheduled for Q1 2011, possible January or early February I guess, meant to improve Q&A and thus will be patched and improved, unsure how the default 1.0 version will be but it can't be as bad as Two Worlds 1 was before 1.5 can it?
EDIT: In regards to AF the tiling and streaming nature of the engine also makes distant terrain a bit blurry, easy to notice when you look for it, draw distance for finer details like that is pretty short and I've not found a good way to increase it.
