It's all XML so not too difficult to mod, game loads unpacked files as override to packed ones if they're more recent, utilities were posted on the previous page but whereas only Game0.pak was encrypted or something in the demo (There's a utility to unpack that as well.) all files in the full version use this method so they're not easy to unpack.
(I've done some smaller mods to difficulty and visuals from the demo data but larger stuff will wait until the archives from the full game can be unpacked.)

The release version seems to be shitty performance wise on dual cores, lots of people are complaining about it on a German Gothic forum. This reminds me so much of Gothic 3 which had shitty/non existant dual core support. A mod claimed there will be a patch on Tuesday because, quote: "Blabla the gold-master didnt have all the performance optimizations blablabla".
