With 11 chapters, I would actually think this game is more than 20 hours?

12 chapters, but some are just like two levels.

Still a long game.

I liked it. Nice music. Smile

What did you hate about it?

Mostly the platforms that opened during one of the sequence. They were not too far and not too close from each other. It was quite hard to jump from it in single jump and it wasn't too far to use double jump. This lead me to fall numerous times. When I just jumped on first platform and them jump all the way to end of this section I also fell numerous times, because I'd get stuck on the other side in some kind of mini invisible wall... Hard to explain, it just felt frustrating at times.

Also th part with electricity wasn't the best, had to give it about 4 tries before getting past that Smile

Agree. Not to mention there's no friggin function for the RS, so the roll funtion could have easily been mapped on that.

Faceoff: PS3 vs 360.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-castlevania-lords-of-shadow-face-off

The thing I don´t like about this face-off is that they use the review code? Obviously it is not the final product, which makes it non functional as a test.

Other than that the versions looks to be very close. Except for the disk swap on 360.

Lightning looks a bit better on PS3, as well as some textures. But both games looks stunning on both platform and both run well as well. But yeah, I guess they use review version of game, which a shame really :/

Or GOTY Ed (game + all DLCs for 50-60$) 10 months later... on 3 DVDs. Or 2 DVDs + redeem DLC code inside. Laughing

So half way through there's this chess-like game. I played it, beat the CPU, and then proceeded to smash the remaining pieces on the board... and then the game glitched out like crazy and booted me out. Anyone else had that? Sucks as well because it was a particularly long level with the board game thrown in there just like that.

Quick question guys; Anyone running this on a JTAG? Just wondering if we can extract both Discs into the one directory and run the game like that without having to back out to the menu to change discs?

Took from TL forum, haven't tested as I don't have JTAG console:

JTAG

- Merge files of both discs (no need to overwrite) but exclude *.packed files.
- Rename *.packed files of 2nd disc to 'data02.packed' and 'data03.packed' and copy as well. Order of *.packed files doesn't matter.
- Start 'default.xex' or create Quickboot link. GOD doesn't work though. Don't know why.

Alternative (untested):
Some people say its possible to preinstall the first disc (with NXE HDD install?) and only play with the 2nd (that can be a GOD as well).

Finnished it now.

Epic ending of course. And that sums up the game for me: epic!

Love castlevania of the past and love this one. No need to choose one over the other. Both are awesome. Remember playing the first on nes and this game gave me the same exciting thrills as I felt back then.

5/5

Everyone has, even these with original copies. The game runs with 20-24fps all the time which is a shame. Sad

PS3 games are region free. I grabbed a P2P copy of the NTSC version and it works on my PAL machine just fine.
