Oh yeah! Good point! Go play some Battletoads on the NES, that should be no problem for you! What with you being a PC gamer and all! |
For the love of poop. I'm a gamer. I've been gaming for 20 years, I learned Japanese fluently because of gaming, ordering ff1-6 to play them. Ordering, and importing Japanese games every week. I played ff1-6, and beat them before you even knew there were six.
And, of course, it wont be EASY, its a MOD to make the game harder right?
You install FO3, load it, install it, patch it, load it, it's easy without mods. That's my point.
ps: I'm pretty good at battletoads.

I don't doubt he is old, I do think he has a huge ego, he is the ONLY one that can be an oldschool gamer.
All because I don't like fallout 3.

No, all because you're an elitist fool who thinks he has more gaming experience because he's a PC gamer. Welcome to my sig. Enjoy your stay. End of discussion.

What a moron. Look at him get all made, because of one statement.
And a true statement it is. He acts like a PC FPS player can't go get a mouse and keyboard adapter.
xim360.
Load up halo, and wreck shit. PC gamers are better with RPGs, PC gamers are better with Shooters.
Deal with it.

My post are fine, I have every right to defend myself against an egomaniac. Becuase all I did was state my opinion.
Which is, I think PC gamers overall, are better at playing video games. And fallout 3 was easy, he did not find it easy, so it probably hurt his video gamer pride?
Raging 12 year old child or not, this, adult child, got so mad, that he had to make personal remarks. Any immature person, who gets this mad at one comment, shows, how insecure, childish they truly are.
And he ran away, from the discussion, like any typical child.

The demo was not bad. I liked it a lot. Some of you guys have forgotten the old days where there were games like M&M. It's about gameplay, story and atmosphere.
All I hear in forums these days is the constant moaning of how shitty the physics are, how bad the effects look etc... Who gives a fuck, when it is a decent RPG, that is what matters the most. The visuals blew me away, yet there are still many western idiots who think that every game should let them jump off a cliff, walk around in a 5000000km^2 map, jump off a cliff with a horse etc...
And those who think dragon age was deep and best rpg ever then no, no it was not... I did not like story, the world was too butch... All it did was use a simpler version of leveling mechanism that resembled something that we had 10 years ago (dungeons and dragons rules). The game itself was boring.
These days, I tend to play JRPG because they offer some challenge, require you to think about tactics and the story is 10x more than that cliche shit we have been seeing from western games since like 2004.

I have to disagree, with some things, as an avid rpg gamer. Recent JRPGs, even the imported ones, seem to lack a truly decent story. THey are ok, but it's the same story we have seen In japanese RPGS before.
On thing I do love about JRPGs, is the different ideas they have with combat systems, weather it be turned based, or action oriented, you can always expect something new, within a JRPG with crafting, or combat systems.

The visuals were poor. The gameplay was poor. The story was poor. The voice acting was poor. The combat was poor. The optimisation was poor. Shall I go on?

Uh. During your 20 years of learning Japanese to play Western-style games on the 360 Oblivion, did you also learn to read and write English?
TWII = Two Worlds II.
(oh and btw; The Witcher 2 is out on the 360 too ) |
Aren't both acronyms the same?
First off, oblivion, was OK, I did enjoy morrowind. ばか

I could say the same for any given western rpg. Who is going to blame me? I don't care anyway. Fallout 3 was very disappointing game in the series for me. It was not a RPG anymore, it was a shooter with some small rpg elements. Bethesda acquired Fallout IP from Interplay and flushed it down the toilet - job well done! At least Gothic sticked to its roots (even with different developer).
And I don't care what you think - you have become used to the games we have in market now. I don't need someone to tell me that I am wrong and that the western games have evolved the gaming industry. Only thing they have done is improve the general facade - graphics, sound, physics - but the core of the games are rotten. There are exceptions of course, but seeing a shitty game hit a 9/10 mark in some US review site is no surprise. While games like Risen get 4/10 - for whatever reason...
Its a lot like with music - people buy shit that other people like, just so that they could "belong" somewhere or share common interests. The pathetic part is - they actually believe that they like it. Classical music is instantly classified as shit. Offer an american a black pudding (blood sausage) and they will puke their guts out.
Different games for different cultural backgrounds. I like how Japan has its own niche for games. I wish Europe would have something like that. Actually, some games do have this small "european feeling", but it is fading away with each year.
I can see European games turning to dumbed down american crap in the future (well, its already happening). At least the Russians seem to produce some decent games that have some new ideas.

Lets face it... You cant blame game that it has shit optimization if you run it on a computer, which is little over the minimum requirements. Then you can start ranting about it, if it wont run on recommended spec pc.

I don't disagree on any one point there, dude. I'm fully aware that FO3 is a huge disappointment to many oldschool FO fans (myself included, please don't forget that) - I just learned to put aside that disappointment and just enjoy it for what it was; a shooter with RPG elements, extensive exploration and a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. It wasn't the best game ever made, it wasn't a "true" FO title in every sense of the word, but - to me at least - it was thoroughly enjoyable and had magnificent atmosphere.
From all indications, the same simply cannot be said about what we've seen of Arcania yet (I'm sorry, I refuse to name it by it's numbering. This is not a Gothic game) and Risen was far and above what this has, so far, shown us. I definitely agree that Risen deserved so much more than the lame scores it received, but Arcania - from the demo we've played - is revolting. It's just hideous in every way except MAYBE some of the visuals. Maybe.

I sure hope you're not insulting my baby by claiming it's "a little over the minimum system requirements" As for the RECOMMENDED? Those are just plain horseshit. An i7 and a GTX295? Really? Because from what I saw of the game, it sure as hell isn't justified
