I am giong to build a new HTPC and was wondering how you guys check what hardware is compatible or not when building a new PC?

what HTPC program are u using?

windows Media center?
Media Portal?

for media portal:
http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/requirements.html
^that 1 supports more tv-cards then windows MCE2005

i should buy plenty or RAM and a p4 processor.
also a compatible tv-card is handy Wink

I am going for MythTV

So far
P4 3.0 HT
1.5 GB DDR
HDD Space
And the 350 TV card

As Martinius said I would rather go for MythTV. It's much more comfortable than the Windows htpc alternatives. Just read the reviews if you don't believe me.
