|
 |
I just finished Enslaved, and although it didn't have a perfect story, it seemed well above todays standards, in the way it was told, and the characters.
Was hoping someone could suggest me some other game with a good story. Something really touching. They should preferably have lovable characters and character interactions.
I absolutely loved the stories in dreamfall series, and also fahrenheit. (I'm also quite sure I would have loved heavy rain if I had a PS3).
So, any others?

Any particular genre you're looking for?
Or something you don't want.
And since this is in the PC section, PC games only?

Any type of games really, PC or console, any genre as long as the story is mighty fine.
And also, good characters and character interactions. I seem to like that.

The Sims 3: it's you that write the story, plus there are (literally) lovable characters and loads of character interactions!
Seriously now:
Deus Ex
Grim Fandango
Fallout 2
Star Wars KOTOR
The Longest Journey
The Witcher
and many others!

Yeah I'd like my characters to speak a language I can understand
Grim Fandango sounds interesting, heard a lot about it. Played the rest, good suggestions. |
You'll love it, trust me .
It's easily one of the best adventure games ever made, with unforgettable characters, a brillant irony and an excellent story.

I really should get around to playing the longest journey. I really loved Dreamfall.

I'll definitely check out grim fandango. Probably tomorrow.

I found it a bit disappointing, although everyone was telling me it was better than dreamfall. But I think it matters the most which you played first. I played dreamfall first, so that element of mystery in the longest journey was mostly removed.

I have played neither of the two. Which one should I play first? (Which one is the first?)

TLJ is the first.
dreamfall is the sequel.
TLJ is the better game in every way but the story and character driven dialogue etc. are more or less equally strong in both.
TLJ remains one of my favorite adventure games of all time and i can only hope funcom hurries it up with their MMO and release the next chapter in the series.

This. This. This and MORE THIS! Start with TLJ, bask in what is one of the greatest adventure games ever, then move onto Dreamfall which is a direct sequel .. and more of a hand's on approach rather than point and click. Both have magnificent stories and both are in DESPERATE need of the closing sequel.
Come on Mr Tørnquist! Hurry up and ditch the MMO and get to work on TLJ 3!

funcom certainly don't give up on the mmo market. They should stick to what they do best instead of ruining the company.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think it's King's Bounty.
Seriously though, try Overclocked, newish adventure game, pretty cool in certain parts.
My all time fav world was Omikron, that was a ton of fun, very underrated game, but pretty ugly by todays standards too, sadly.
Obsidian games: nwn2-mask of the betrayer - if you will play only one from my list, play this. Epicsauce. Also Kotor2 kicks ass.

Also, it's boring cliche, and you have few meaningful choices.
