I've finally got around installing this, but I cannot seem to get the DLCs to work.
I've tried the ME2_Authpatch, and the unlocker here presented in the beginning of this page (157) and nothing seems to work. I just get the error DLC cannot be authorized... I've tried doing stuff while disconnected and everything.

Done both, doesn't change a thing. Same error in the beginning.

I mean, you MUST find the good device. For example, I put this exe into ME2 install directory and have activated directly from there and for me it was not the name of my internet device, but "Broadband Connection"; after that, click twice and the little box will disappear...next time you open ME2, all will be OK. If not, just try another device from the little box.

Due to the amount of DLC in this game, I'm only going to buy it if they're releasing the 'ultimate version' containing the game and all DLC

in fact if the whole game could have been as good as the last DLC, maybe I would consider to buy it. this DLC was really good, but a way too short again. And what I really HATE about this game is when your crew just disappear by magic near the end of the game. Just hate this, wanted to flirt more, but no way, bye bye...anyway, the unlocker patch should be fine...have you tried to block your AV software ?

How exactly does "your crew disappear by magic near the end of the game"?

What? What has Liara got to do with your crew "disappearing" near the end of the game? Absolutely nothing.

I did not talk about Liara. What I meant was this part of plot is a little bit...well...does not make sense.

It's a pretty obvious trick to put some time pressure on you.
Spoiler: | But inside the plot it makes complete sense. The reaper IFF acts as a homing beacon for the collectors so they come for you. You leave the ship for a mission and take everyone with you. Although they never show it... it's implied that EVERYONE (not just the 3 people on your team) come with you on missions. |

*scratchez hed*
its a logical well explained bit in the plot, that also has a great reason in gameplay, so i dont see the problem. besides, was a fun sequence.
but your whole complaint about it doesnt make any sense... you wanted to flirt more? the hell does that mean... more conversations with your crew? like you didnt have enough time or something.... i mean what? you hate the game because your crew left for ONE mission and you had to take control of one different character for 5 minutes, and for that the game sucks?

Quote: | Do you think games such as Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 have been dumbed down for the console audience - or 'consolified', as some PC players suggest?
Greg: That's not a word!
Ray: If anything, I'd say that the console games I've seen have been becoming more and more involved over the last year, including the titles from BioWare and many of the launches from our competitors.
I believe that's true for PCs as well. If anything, it's the interfaces that are getting more and more tuned, streamlined and accessible, so it's easier to access rich tactics and strategy while still having that usability.
I think that's the real art of video game development - providing a lot of features, a lot of balance and a lot of accessibility all at the same time. It's not easy, but it continues to evolve every year. |
Sure on the console side, they're indeed getting deeper (because now they get the chance to play watered down sequels of complex PC franchises, etc) but do they really believe that's the case on the PC too?
