No, not true. I've play ALOT of Fifa 10 on console and it's pretty much the same on PC except for some small WC 2010 elements. Oh and also clearer GFX due to higher res and AA. Played both console version and PC version on the same TV, and PC looks better, plays almost exactly the same.

Yes, that is probably the most noticeable issue of FIFA 11, since the two central defenders are very often bad positioned and they tend to completely lose the mark especially during through passes  .
The problem can be slighly adjusted when playing on manual, but only because the through passes are much more difficult to make. |

That solves one problem and creates another. The game already lacks individuality and with through passes on manual (why the fuck they didn't put semi on through passes?) they are completely gone. I would like to make better passes with Ozil and worse with Lass, not the same with both.
And that just temporally solves the problem, just makes it harder. You are again limited on making those through passes, its just harder. When you learn them it will be the same again  |
Agreed  . In a few weeks, when everybody will easily handle the manual control, the problem will reappear in the same form..
My biggest hope is that someone manages to edit the gameplay files, adjusting the behaviour of the AI and tuning the parameters of players like happened with the "oldgen" FIFAs on PC. Unfortunately those games were too bad to appreciate the changes in gameplay  |

Don't believe the trolls that say "console version of fifa 10 better tha PC blah blah". I just made a direct comarison playing fifa 10 on x360 and then 11 on PC. The PC version feels much smoother. I didn't measure my PFS but it's like 30fps console and 60fps PC or at least thats the feeling you get. And for soccer game it's cruicial to have high fps, it changes the way you feel the game. Also Pc version has better GFX, the same as console fifa 11 but better resolution and AA/AF.

you sound like a pc fanboy like some others around these parts
some of us can afford all formats and have unbiased opinions i am no troll pc fifa 11 has the graphics of fifa 10 but the feel of fifa 08

ok so I just played one game and had to go to class - but with a i7/2xgtx295 with about 24gigs of ram it ran better and looked better than most games ... and i played with a firend using two xbox controllers plugged into pc ... it was nothing short of amazing ... I am getting the xbox36 version tomorrow in mail, but very impressed with the pc so far! it is smooth and faster performing than most games in every way possible, switching between menus, loading ... I cant wait to play more!!!

Obviously a Video Editor/3d modeller, 24gb of Ram is nothing these days for anyone with a job, costs about £600 for 6 sticks of 4gb but if thats your job or you study it at College/Uni then its essential on big projects.

timeout sounds like 30ms ping lock but the game doesnt use GFWL?

Yesterday I found quite an annoying rule/feature/bug...
In all my games so far, I've usually had a squad of about 18-20 players - Yesterday in manager mode, I had 20 players and if I had 3 injuries I had to forefit the match...it wasn't possible to put 11 players+6 subs (instead of 7), which lead to my sacking as I lost a cup game and 2 championship games.

if FIFA was really good then I would play it and prefer it to pes but answer me this : replace these "next-gen" graphics of FIFA 11 with those found in 09 or FIfA 2010. would you still play it ? 
and regarding the merging of the 2 games .. the only thing i'll take from FIFA11 and introduce it in PES is the advantage rule. maybe we'll' get it in the full game ?  oh at the end of a game you can choose ..golden goal..classic and that stuff.

I got to say I really hate fifa 2011 team management and pes 2011 team management aint very comfy either. In PES 2010 it was much better imo.

guys any1 here has a problem accessing the controllers settings in-game??? It doesnt let me..it says you need to access from specific controller or something...so everytime i need to exit game and go from settings...

Yup there is a LAN option and it works rather well Had a couple of sessions with my son and it's immensely fun! A bit disappointed in the lack of in game keyboard support though. Yes yes i know you can configure it out of the game in the game settings, still I don't own a 360 pad and have always enjoyed playing on keyboard. Other than that it's way better than Fifa10 PC from last year.

Strange that you guys aren't getting it to work over LAN. Basically all I did was go into the game, goto online modes option,multiplayer then lan play, create a host and wait for my son to connect to it. Of course I assume if you are running Win 7 you allow the local F/W rule access to the host machine, it prompted me when he tried to connect which i said allow to the F/W rule and that's it. Remember this is a local LAN not over Tunngle, so same subnet etc. Hope this helps.
